First EncounterSilos chooses one member of the party whose powers he covets. Using his dream spell, he invades the mind of that party member, manifesting as a nightmare that cannot be woken from. They run and run and run but the otherwise unremarkable human is completely unstoppable. He stalks them from within a tornado of blood and traps them up in the highest room of a clock tower, where the booming of the final stroke of midnight is finally what jolts them awake. EscalationNPCs close to the party start to go missing. Reports come in from towns the party has travelled through of an unstoppable force of nature that wordlessly and emotionlessly tosses aside everything thrown at them. The party can't move fast enough to get away and the reports from their contacts grow ever more frantic and haphazard until they stop altogether. Only one thing seems to worry this man: antimagic. Without his powers granting him limitless regeneration, he is no better than a commoner. EncounterSilos comes no matter how well the party has prepared. He doesn't try to kill them, focusing his efforts only on the one party member that he wishes to absorb powers from. He tells the others to leave their friend behind. His main strategy is disabling threats. He'll likely lead with a mind blast to stun as many members of the party as he can. A raging barbarian might be levitated safely out of the way. Counterspell, shield, and his legendary resistances protect him from spellcasters, and he can lock them down with hold person if everything else fails. Rogues and other hidden creatures are revealed with detect thoughts. If everything else fails, his regeneration makes him invincible without the help of an antimagic field. For his target, he will likely begin with phantasmal force to torment them, then following up with a sunbeam to knock them unconscious. He may even stabilise them with a medicine check before using telekinesis to carry them off safely out of harm's way. How the hell do you fight this guy?You don't. You teleport out of there. You make decoys. You set up traps. You tire him out by throwing minions at him until he exhausts all of his resources for the day. Or you just give him what he wants ... except that makes him even more powerful, so it may be better to just perform a mercy kill. If you're the DM, it's recommended to use him wisely, as drawing his desire is basically a death sentence. Focus his attentions on any powerful NPCs or companions that your party has allied with and use him as a frightening way to kill them off.

diablo
put him in a fantasy world as a demon summoning gone wrong instead of summoning a demon from your realm you summon diablo he then terrorizes towns and laughs at the low level demons destroying them and in his wake much like in the game lore he leaves lesser demons in his wake not the normal ones your players may face but maybe ones from the games he then goes about trying to take over for the demons or devils or both and absorbs high level fiends the players must call for help with the most unlikely of allies the most evil beings from your realms demon lords, evil gods, in order to save the balance of all existence they must help evil defeat diablo.
i would have the players first encounter with him be the summoning gone bad they stop a cult and because something happened when they try and stop the ritual things go wrong.

As a huge TMNT Fan, as can be told by my iTunes review, I have to choose The Shredder.
1. What is the first encounter like?
In a fairly large city, the youth of the city have been ill-advisedly joining a new adventuring guild called the Dragon's Paw. Subsequently, a gang of thugs, called the Purple Dragons, have been mugging the citizens of the city and relinquishing territory of the city. Meanwhile, the city is also being plagued by a slew of baffling burglaries in recent months where little to no evidence is left to point at the culprits. Upon investigation into these events the PCs eventually learn that the Dragon's Paw are in fact the same group that is doing the burglaries; the youth that have been recruited into the guild have been brutally trained to be skilled thieves in exchange for reveling in the riches they pilfer without consequence. The Purple Dragons have been extra active in the city in response to a feud that has begun with the Dragon's Paw. If the PCs can track any of the Dragon's Paw members back to their headquarters the "Father" of this almost cult-like organization quickly arrives to quell the disturbance. Backed by a skilled assassin named Tatsu, the blade-clad Shredder defeats the PCs with ease, and they must escape, or he may feel they are not a threat and allow them to go, their lesson learned, or once the PCs have interfered in two or more jobs performed by the Dragon's Paw, The Shredder sends Tatsu to silence them, if they defeat his assassin, he seeks them out himself and they must escape or pray for pity from The Shredder.
2. How does the evil escalate?
The war between the Dragon's Paw and the Purple Dragons escalates. If the PCs do not attempt to make an alliance with the Purple Dragon's, the Purple Dragon's come looking for them. The gang is led by a skilled Goliath warrior named Hun who only wants to boss the PCs around, using them as tools to combat the ever growing numbers of the Dragon's Paw thieves and assassins. The PCs learn via interrogation or hearsay, that the Dragon's Paw and The Shredder have their eyes on a powerful artifact that permanently polymorphs creatures into evil hybrid beasts. Either alone or with the combined might of Hun and a troupe of Purple Dragons are able to confront The Shredder and the Dragon's Paw during this heist and when the fight appears to be going well on the side of the PCs and the Purple Dragons, Hun turns turncoat and joins The Shredder, calling an "Order 66" on the PCs. If the PCs can escape they will have to return to the Dragon's Paw headquarters which has had a new section added to house the gauntlet of Dragon's Paw assassins, Purple Dragon thugs, and hybrid captains, before reaching Hun, The Shredder, and (if he is still alive) Tatsu. If they cannot escape, the Shredder keeps them alive to test out his new hybrid warriors in his gauntlet where they awaken within.
3. What is the final encounter like?
In the final battle the Shredder has only one use of the polymorph left that day and saves it for Hun or Tatsu if the other is slain. If both are slain before he can bring it to use he uses it on one of the PCs, hoping to create a new minion that he can control against the remaining PCs. If he takes half damage, or both his captains are slain, he drinks a potion that increases his size from medium to large and causing his already bladed armor to erupt in long jagged blades. The Shredder fights to the end, even resorting to recklessness and self-sacrifice if it means he can finish off the PCs who have been such a thorn in his side.
4. Fill in the gaps as you please.

I'm going to do the most wanted man in the multiverse, Richard B. Riddick.
1. What is the first encounter like? A: The quest is to go capture Riddick. The kingdom that started the bounty acknowledges how hard a mark he is, and offers 5K gold dead or alive. Multiple mercenaries attempt to get him. You can have a couple other groups of NPC adventures, to increase and use scare tactics as Riddick will constantly go into the shadows and kill the other adventures. B: Escape with Riddick if they are imprisoned, or on the run from an entity.
2. How does the evil escalate?
A: After many other NPCs are ghosted, you could have Riddick show up to one of the PCs. Maybe after he has them trapped. To either have dialog, or he could just eviscerate them and leave them for 'dead'. B: If they cant keep pace with Riddick he may leave them, or trap them in a way to delay the pursuers but he can escape.
3. What is the final encounter like? A: Many (20+) other low HP med-high damage creeps/monsters are present. PCs get to decide weather they work with Riddick to kill the many monsters or focus on Riddick. OR Riddick will lead them into a multi-trapped lair to give himself the best chance to fight your PCs.
B: If the PCs kept up with or caught back up to Riddick, have him escape in a way only a single person can escape.... or threaten too.
4. Anything else you want to add in regards to adding to your game. I would legit fudge a first roll to make him crit a sneak attack to instantly down a PC on the first encounter. Just as a scare tactic, you can make Riddick fade back into the shadows and escape. So your PCs can revive the downed PC. This will add to the scare and make your PCs know how serious the encounter can be.

1 What is the first encounter like?
The party is returning to their home base, which is located near or in a small town, from their latest adventure. Loaded down with treasure they happen upon a group of seven orcs in a fight with three strange looking humanoids. The humanoids are covered in random pieces of armor and their movements seem abnormally stiff. Six of the orcs are on the ground out of the fight, the last orc drops one of the strangers as the party approaches. The savage attack causes the orc to be momentarily defenseless, the stranger uses the opening to drop the final orc. As the party approaches the stranger notices them and speaks in a metallic voice, “We are the Borg. Resistance is futile prepare to be assimilated.” The Borg raises a gauntleted arm and a bolt of electricity strikes the closest party member. Combat ensues, the battle is difficult but not impossible. Upon inspection of the Borg is apparent that the piecemeal plate armor is bonded to its skin.
2 How does the evil escalate?
Upon returning to the town they find it is deserted. No one is around there are no bodies and signs of a battle are visible. With a survey of the area a trail can be followed out of town. The trail leads to a cube shaped structure partially buried in the ground, the tracks lead into a cavernous opening into the structure. There seem to be no guards, but their movements are being tracked by unseen sensors. As they move in further screams can be heard ahead. Exploring further the party discovers holding pens of the townsfolk and local farming families. The prisoners seem withdrawn and have vacant eyes, the screams are coming from past them. The next room is an abattoir, it is filled the rows of tables that have screaming people held down by more of the Borg. The Borg seem to be riveting plate mail onto the townsfolk, blood is flowing onto the ground. As more armor is attached the screams diminish until it stops completely when half their body is covered. Following the procedure to the end of the room the newly created Borg approach a large female figure seated at the end of the room, the Borg Queen. After the party is able to view the room and process what they are seeing, all active Borg speak as one,” We are Borg. Resistance is futile prepare to be assimilated.” Battle begins, it should be a tough fight, but most of the Borg are newly created. The Borg Queen is the tougher opponent.
3 What is the final encounter like?
The newly created Borg are Commoners with higher armor class, but there are a lot of them who are willing to die for their Queen, they will attack with unusual coordination. There may be a few tougher Borg along with the Queen who is an Outsider who can control and create hive mind with creatures who have had armor extruded from her body attached to them. The Borg Queen can be as tough as you need her to be. When dropped to zero she will lose control over the Borg, she will also lose control of Borg Cube and it will begin to leave the plane to return to the plain of Mechanus to await the healing of its Queen. It will take several minutes for the cube to fully shunt itself to Mechanus, giving the party time to escape with as many townsfolk as they can save.
4 Anything else you want to add in regard to adding to your game.
As this adventure ends what are the ramifications of the transformed townsfolk who returned, how will it affect their lives. Bigger question is what about any townsfolk who don’t make it or what if the party doesn’t make it out of the cube.

Algaliarept- Demon- the Hollows series by Kim Harrison
"a dealer in flesh and seducer of souls, skilled in training people in the dark arts enough to make them marketable, then abducting them when they made a mistake in order to sell them to his peers [demons] into an extended lifetime of servitude"— a Purveyor of Fine Familiars.
Use the Ultroloth stats but add the ability to store any potions drank in the past within him to be used as needed (and he’s had a lot of potions), give him Plane shift, and finally give him the ability to learn their worst fear if they fail a will save (DC 17 as ultroloth)
1. What is the first encounter like?
Very early on in the game, perhaps even level 1, a ruddy skinned nobleman, tall and powerfully built, with green crushed velvet tailcoat and white gloves pops into existence in front of the party. He turns to one of the PC’s (the special PC, please choose wisely) and tells them their mother/father/brother/sister/wife/husband/best friend/etc. told him you would take their place. The PC’s etc. NPC appears behind them bound in chains, one end of which appears in his hand. Their eyes are red and face tear streaked, but won’t meet the PC’s eyes. “Yay or nay, I need an answer now love.” (It’s best done with a cheesy British accent) Then before they answer he goes on, “though, it would be nice to have both, you make such a lovely pair. Just think what I could get for the both of you.” He starts advancing on them.
All they need to do to dispel him is say yay or nay, but if they don’t answer he will continue to press them, even going so far as to use suggestion to say “nay, but I will come willingly.” If the party tries to attack him (or even seems like they will since ultroloth can cast detect thoughts at will), he will try to learn their greatest fear then use alter self to change into that; if that doesn’t work he can fear, fire wall or even try to kill them. If the original PC hasn’t answered and things are escalating, he will press them, “just say yay or nay so we can be on our way.”
If they do exchange places they can become to NPC they saved, just add one level of warlock pact of the fiend (or give them the stats with a cursed item or marking they can’t remove). But he still wants the pair.
2. How does the evil escalate?
Whichever way they choose, they have gotten Algaliarept’s attention. When they look in a mirror after dark they see him behind them, watching like a child outside a candy shop staring at the box of fudge, but he's not actually there; just their mind playing tricks?
Every night roll a percentile dice
• If it’s below 10 he shows up, preferably when they are alone but not always. He will talk to them, trying to make a pact with him or use his hypnotic gaze to charm them, but when it works … “and just as you give in, someone walks in through the door. Which one of you is it?”
• If it’s below 25% he will approach one of the other PC’s in a different guise; try to use suggestion on them or alter self to their worst fear and try to intimidate them, “bring so and so to me, bring them alone. I have a very nice surprise for them. Tell them anything they want to hear.”
If he gets the special PC he will coax, be spell, hurt, even torture them; but he will not take them until they verbally say they will go. Anyone else he will fear, incapacitate, or kill. If Algaliarept’s HP ever reaches 25%, the spell Contingency goes off and he is plane shifted out. He does not return for at least 2 days.
3. What is the final encounter like?
One night at the end of the day when they are taking a long rest and traveling with an NPC (preferably one they know, but not necessarily) they all wake up as the NPC screams. They are in the center of a summoning circle cast in blood and have just completed casting Summon greater Demon. A ruddy skinned nobleman, tall and powerfully built, with green crushed velvet tailcoat and white gloves appears; behind him is the special PC’s etc. NPC from the beginning, wearing a crown of thorns and decked out ready for a fight (they look reluctant but submissive and completely under Algaliarept’s control. The NPC slumps down sobbing, “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry. I couldn’t …” Algaliarept touches them tenderly on the shoulder saying, “They know love, and they still hate you. Now time to serve your maker.” He lifts them up onto their feet with one hand. You now have to fight an Ultroloth and two warlocks of the fiend (VGM pg. 219); the 2nd has ½ the HP and if killed reverts to snow and melts immediately (see Simulacrum).
During the fight if Algaliarept is able to grapple the special PC, he will demand on final time that they consent to come with him. If they do not he will dimension door with them to a hill top to torture them. The next round the PC’s etc. NPC will try to dimension door to follow him; anyone making a reflex save to grab them or Algaliarept when they dimension door will follow them through to the hill top.
When Algaliarept’s HP is 0, the crown of thorns on the NPC friend cracks and turns to dust whether they are alive or dead; if dead they cannot be revived by any means because their soul is not free, if they are alive they are free … for now. Algaliarept’s physical remains revert to that of an ultroloth and, if they exist, become inert and can’t there after be returned to life (as specified by the spell Clone).
4. Anything else you want to add in regards to adding to your game.
• Algaliarept is charming, cruel, clever, resourceful, conniving, yet honorable enough in his own peculiar twisted way. His goal is always to take the PC alive, as they are worth nothing to him dead.
• When using Algaliarept remember to use all the ultroloths advantages, such as mass suggestion, teleport, the darkness spell combined with their true sight, sensing and changing to greatest fear, detect thoughts at will, and don’t forget the stored potions.
