I loved this episode. The whole time I was listening I was imagining followers of Gond being organized something like the Freemason's. Kind of a "Guardian's of Divine Geometry" sort of thing. Rumors and conspiracies surround them but in truth they are simply guarding the study of engineering from a world hostile to technology. Followers of Gond might be called upon to build palaces and fortresses and war-machines, but they keep their knowledge "in house" making them somewhat indispensable. This delicate balance allows them to work on things that might make the lives of non magic folk better. Their members are everywhere and all are considered equal inside their temples, commoner, noble and wizard alike. They leave coded messages to each other in the symbols embedded in their great works and their plans are written in complex ciphers. They travel the world looking for bright minds to bring into the fold and spread simple tools and knowledge among the common, being careful to make sure it serves to help the commoners but not make them a threat. Its whispered they want to take over the world, but there is no proof. In truth, at the very highest levels of the order they do have a secret agenda. To lay the ground work for a world in which all creatures, magical and none magical are equal.
