Hello DM's sorry for the delayed post but I worked late last night. So this weeks sode was another brilliant one and dealt with a topic that can have a large influence on your world. For this DM-nastics lets share our own choices about pantheons and discuss them. I will post some basic info about my pantheon.
Please post yours as well and we can all discuss things about each others pantheons we like, things we want to incorporate into our own worlds, and why we chose the gods we did. If you have a world with no gods, tell us why, and how that came about, and what effect it has on your world. This DM-nastic will hopefully help us all in our worldbuilding endeavor and give us even more fresh ideas!
My Pantheon
My pantheon is structured in a that their is one ultimate deity that no one has knowledge of. His name is The Smith. This one created 4 helper deities to tend to the great forges of the heavens while he created new worlds and new realms. The 4 helpers through pride and trickery end up creating 8 gods. These 8 are the ones that rule over and effect my material plane.
Here is a visual representation of the hierarchy.
The "sibling" pairs of the 4 elder gods create what are known as the stones. These are the planets on which my stories take place.
Ilfe and Taurne forge the growth stone which is a living planet. It is called Lóasarn.
Orlë and Thlig forge Olórsarn the stone of the mind. This is equivalent to the ethereal plane.
Ilsë and Mróst forge Súrusarn the ever changing stone. Basically Limbo combined with the elemental chaos.
Ethad and Irstef forge the fire-stone, Nárësarn. Which is hell.
The Smith then creates Endëamar and sets all the stones in place around the great forge. He then sends the 8 children into the world to shape it and prepare it for the coming of the races. The children will become the gods of this world and its inhabitants. Once the world is ready the Smith makes a barrier to keep the gods from directly walking the material plane. These become the Shadowfell/Feywild equivalents in my world. They are called Fuinënóre and Alcarnóre. The Smith then instructs the 4 elder gods to create the races of the world.
Olvë creates Elves and Lavanlië(beastfolk).
Erdro creates Dwarves and Gnomes.
Achós creates Men.
Ilvë creates Dragons and Dûraran.
There is a long period of time in which the 8 gods are completely unknown to the races of the world. But after the Dragon Wars the gods send forth emissaries as prophets disciples missionaries to set up religions and begin gathering worshipers.
At this point religions pop-up all across the world.
Here is a break down of each god, what they are responsible for, a possible symbol for their church and things you might here a follower or cleric of that god say.

God Name Translations
In my world all the known gods are recognized as existing, however not all would be worshipped by every person of every race. None of the race know that The Smith or the Four Elder Gods exist at this time.
Ok there is my pantheon. Now let me learn about yours!!!!!!!!
