Hey Blockheads.
I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I wanted to know if there was any resources out there with an actual arcane language dictionary. I'm looking for arcane words that would be used by wizards when casting spells. Does anyone know of any? It doesn't have to be D&D, but any fantasy arcane languages would work well!

I'd just pull up google translate and brutalize Latin words Harry Potter-style. Maybe use synonyms if the literal translation sounds kind of lame. Like fireball = globus ignis, but burning sphere = ardens sphaera, much cooler. Garble it into "ardensperix" and no one would even know where you got it from. There's also the actual Harry Potter list of magic spells, though it might too pop-cultury for your use. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_spells_in_Harry_Potter

Here is a pretty good article about the use of magical language within comic books with a Lovecraftian feel to them. nothingbutcomics.net/2015/02/10/arcane/Also, this site has different alphabets that could help if you were making any visuals, and it also has great English word versions of spells that could then be translated. www.spelwerx.com/alphabets.htmlHopefully those are helpful!
