Hello fellow DMs! I am returning to AD&D after 20 years of being away from the game. I used to play at school every week and even went to competitions with my team. I loved it! There are a few of us at work in the same boat so we decided to get back into it and have now started an AD&D 2E game at lunch times once or twice per week. It is going well so far. I am DM and we are playing a standalone module at the moment.
I want to start a Forgotten Realms long running campaign using the 2E rules. I have looked online at what is available and am confused about where to start. There is so much out there now.
I was hoping for some advice. My questions are:
1 - Can you suggest a series of forgotten realms modules that will suit a party starting off at levels 2 - 4? 2- Which campaign setting books and other supplements do zi need to get in order to really bring it all to life?
Thanks.
Chris

There's a trilogy of modules called The Sword of the Dales Trilogy for levels 1-4. If you can find that, that'd probably be a great start. There are quite a few low level Realms adventures in old Dungeon magazines too. I'd recommend just doing a Google search on "dungeon magazine forgotten realms" and see what pops up.

Love the above suggestions. For me, I would ask a couple clarifying questions to guide you. Is there a certain feel for the adventures you want to run the party in? If you could expand on your second question too that would help. 2nd edition was around for long enough that there are a ton of awesome settings and areas to adventure in. Super excited to hear about this game, as there is a big part of me that wants to kick it old school again some day.
