I got the idea, I believe from a dmb top ten list. (I don't remember which episode sorry) A baseball sized metal ball that when thrown at a large or smaller creature has a chance to capture it. At this point the creature is in cryostasis and time has basically stopped for it. When the ball is thrown (or dropped) on the ground the creature is released. To the creature it blinked, now it's somewhere else. The creature gets a will save against it, unless it's willing. My group has probably enjoyed this item more than any other I've put in the game. Tug my barbarian put a dire bear in it hoping to take it home and tame it, but ended up throwing it in the middle of a bunch of giant ants that had them cornered, giving them just enough of a distraction to haul ass out of the tunnel they'd wandered into. Tug was sad to lose his bear but he was alive. Devendore my wood elf ranger used it to safely transport his sabre toothed tiger mount on a long ocean voyage. i believe this is the only item that all four players have used. Just wanted to say thanks for the idea, (Pokemon was after my day but it was recognized by my mid twenties players as soon as I started describing it.)
