Hello fellow dungeon masters, or game masters depending on your tastes. My name is GM Siron and I hail from the Shenandoah Valley. I started listening to DMB after DM Chris did a guest spot on Lex Starwalker's Obsidian Monolith. Since then, DMB has been my go-to ttrpg podcast. I have listened through the back catalog once and am working on a second go through.
I used to help run a oWoD larp nearby but the personality conflicts inherent in larps drove me out of that and because of grad school, a relationship, and an unpredictable schedule, I haven't gotten to game nearly as much as I like. As such, I mostly enjoy writing: creating characters, worlds, plothooks, etc... I do not stick strictly to D&D. As I've mentioned, I am heavily influenced by oWoD, especially Werewolf the Apocalypse, and nWoD with my favorite lines being Changeling the Lost and Promethean the Created. I have also recently picked up several Savage Worlds books to try and come up with a game that I can run for one or two people without compromising the game system too much.
I have several notebooks full of gaming ideas and world building material I've worked on for several years but have yet to start writing anything serious, but listening to DMB has made me start to sit down and write more, especially since I just got a new job that lets me have more free time and brainstorm more.
I will try not to lurk and instead engage, but not promises. Also, where can I find the custom 3.5 and 5e content for patreon members?
I look forward to getting to know everyone!

WELCOME!
Always glad to have another listener join our ranks! Forgive me for being a total noob, but what is oWoD and nWoD, I know I could google it but would rather have you explain it to me that some machine! Please be as active as you can but know we all have lives outside of DMB and often those keep us from posting as much as we want but this community is great and growing and your addition to it has made us all the stronger!

oWoD and nWoD refer respectively to the Old World of Darkness and New World of Darkness. Both settings emphasize gothic horror with signature lines being Vampire, Werewolf, and Mage, using a d10 system. Old World of Darkness was released in the early 90s initially and had a large metaplot that stretched across all the game lines (though I was never a fan of the metaplot) that emphasized the coming end-times. New World of Darkness has much less of a metaplot I believe, but since I don't follow the lines except for Changeling and Promethean, which were limited series, I can't say for sure. Recently, Onyx Path has been releasing 20th anniversary editions of the Old World of Darkness lines.
One of my favorite things about the World of Darkness games is how they emphasize story and mood. In Changeling, for example, the player is a human who escaped the captivity of Fae Lords in the equivalent of the Feywild and they have to try and get back to normal life while dealing with the residual effects and dodging their old masters. In Promethean, the players are basically Frankenstein monsters that seek to learn from humanity and earn a soul to eventually become human.
