So I made a Encounter (battle) "builder", it's very basic and isn't complete, or tidy. You put your character's levels in the relevant cells, and select how hard you want the fight to be, and it will show the Party XP Threshold. You can then select monsters (currently only a small list) and how many you want and it will show you how much XP it costs for you to compare against the Party's XP threshold. I'm not very versed with Excel/Spreadsheets formulas so it only does the basics, but I'm sure it will be useful to someone (even if it's just me) D&D 5e Encounter Builder Tables Any issues/Question, just post bellow. [Edit] I've been adding monsters from the MM, so far I've added everything up to Bronze Dragons.

This is really good, cheers Cat!
My math education was the result of 2 unsuccessful curriculum experiments, so I'm always frustrated with tables that require flicking back and forth through the books and moving figures around.
That said, the one time I built an encounter numerically it nerfed what I wanted to do and the party breezed through it. :-).

Nice work. Something that could be slick would be to add the terrain/location to the creatures and using it as a filter to quickly identity good option for mountain encounters, for example. Filter by terrain to shorten the list and add your monsters.
I will keep an eye on this. Good stuff!
