Too many good podcasts damnit! And this is just Roleplaying Game Podcasts! And just for tabletop games no less! Not to mention all the Roleplaying-ish podcasts for video games or fiction writing.

It's ok though. It's not like there are any good TV shows on right now. Be that cable, Netflix, Youtube, etc etc etc. Need more hours in a day to consume this stuff! Just did a quick count and it seems like I have seven tabletop related podcasts I am listening to, and roughly ten non tabletop ones I listen to, with a couple outsiders I'm not keeping up on at this time. I have an amazing problem that is helped by a 35-45 minute commute each way to work, and listening to podcasts at increased speed. I use the "faster" setting on my old iPod and it seems to be at about x1.3 speed, and I tried x1.5 on my phone, and that is probably about as fast as I could stand without the podcast chipmunknig too much.

The only problem, everyone looks at me funny, when I stop walking in the middle of the mall, flip out my notebook and jot down notes every couple seconds.

A nice resource for free graph paper. You can set the grid size and margins, output hex or square and many other varieties. I printed a nice 30x42 poster print of 1" grid paper for combat scenarios and quick map drawing. If you don't work an an engineering firm like I do, kinkos/fedex can print poster size sheets for a fee. incompetech.com/graphpaper/

Thanks for the information! This is going to be really helpful. I don't usually use maps, but sometimes I pull out a sheet of lined paper to map out a crowded scenario. These are a lot more ideal!

I'm just imagining a second enemy bursting through a wall, and now there is difficult terrain in an area, or maybe a pillar is knocked over, or an entire area is completely crumbled and fell away. Super cool resource!

They might not be quite as nice as the site above, but I often use Inkscape to quickly and easily render grids. It's under Extensions > Render > Grids and then they have 3 or 4 different kinds of grids. You pop in how big you want your spaces to be and poof!
