I have spent more on GW forests and hills... and they look half as cool.

If you have the time and money Kickstart er is often the way to get some very high quality stuff for less than normal. Granted time and money aren't usually the things people have an abundance of.

Ya dwarven forge stuff is really lovely and would definitely be a sweet thing to bring to the table. But it is beyond my budget thats for sure. Yeah, beyond my budget too...also, since we move around instead of having a set (permanent) location/game room, it would be a PITA to set up and tear down every time we play. It *really* needs a dedicated space to be viable. Looks awesome, though.

So, I noticed that InKarnate is currently under "Virtual Tabletop/Digital Resources" but I think it also has just as much of a place in the mapping section. Although it is still in beta it only took me two days to get in to the beta. The Site has two resources, a Maptool and a not yet open to beta is the Character creator for 3.5 that works basically like a video game setup. However, the map tool is not only viable in a virtual manual but also as printable maps. I think that if it was also in the map section people looking to make maps might easily overlook it. I'm attaching a few images that have been made using the program. There is an image of Westeros(that I did not make) that is pretty sweet looking(Game of Thrones for those Unfamiliar) and also an image of a map I made. (I've added a third image of a dungeon I made in 5 minutes using the program[into the virtual table top category] and well it is substandard atm due to a lack of features provided by other sites, such as pyromancers, which are great for people running online campaigns. Perhaps after more features are added but currently I'd take a pass on the dungeon map tool.)
As you can see the world map possibilities are really well refined. Not only that but for me(who lacks all art skills) it was a cinch to use and allowed me to create a cool looking map without having to learn complicated programs and techniques. Remember the beta is free so why not sign up, I've been in the beta for over a month and have only recieved two emails, one saying I was signed up, and the other saying I was in the Beta. There is no harm in trying it out so give it a go.

Also, you can sign up with facebook, if that's your thing.

Added InKarnate to the map section as well. I am in the beta and have played around with there map tools. Pretty basic so far but has lots of potential.

I just updated the section with Kickstarters to consider to remove old kickstarters and add new ones. Check them out as some of them are very cool!

Trying to get the Gamer Master 5 from Lion's Den set up to give it a go, and it seems pretty promising.
Also, I reached out to developer of Inkarnate that I know, and he was excited to hear about the interest in the Inkarnate tool. He also told me that they are currently working on an updated release of the map tool! They have been getting a decent number of new sign ups.
They are also working on a tool for quickly referencing the rules for Pathfinder that are on the PRD (official 1st party stuff under the OGL, not custom or 3rd party)
He said that he would give me/us enough on any other early access stuff that they do.

Here is a cool Campaign Setting for 5E that is getting Kickstarted. It's almost done though, so putting it on the list might not make too much sense.

Thanks so much for putting my home site on that list, Mainprize. I think Tribality.com should be on there as well. The majority of what I'm creating is either on Tribality or my Patreon for supporters.

P-)Pissing off "technical 'min-maxing' type(s)" sounds like a strong argument in favor of any house rule. THIS!! I hate min/maxers (aka: "Optimizers"). To me, I have an idea of where I want my PC to go, but the events of the adventure and things that happen, should shape the character. These are living, breathing, characters. They have hopes and ambitions, but if events in their lives move them left, when I figured to go right, then so be it. I'm not going to multiclass the $hit outta something just to get the best damage-dealing possible. Wait 'til you hear us talk about Optimizers in Monday's podcast. So hard for me to say positive things. So...hard...
