I suffered from insomnia last night and listened to this episode at 3 in the morning. Best part? I actually read up on the Ravnica Block just hours before!
Personally, Niv-Mizzet has to be one of my favorite MTG characters. A 15,000 year old red-blue draco-genius who enjoys solving the great mysteries of first world problems. A creature of immense power capable of destroying nephilim and ruling the world, but does not because it's "too boring" for him.
I've seen a lot of characters who don't want to lead, but usually it's because they are lazy, cowardly, weak, etc. But too smart? Too bored to lead? That's something else, especially coming from a dragon.
Oh and best part? He still comes with all the vanity and sass of a dragon. He'll still dominate you, but hopefully he'll get bored and move on to the next thing on his to do list.
