Here is an Update on Separate Story Times and DMnastics and what we are doing about backlogging.
The Voyage on the Unending Sea Episodes 1 & 2 have been added in as separate segments after the episodes they originally aired in. We will be doing this for the Solarian Island Campaign as well.
We will not be doing this for Past Story Times, or DMnastics.
At least not on our regular feed. We do however wish to go ahead and make them assessable some how in the near future. We have had listeners specifically write in and ask if there were a way to listen to story times, such as the Riders campaign, in order and outside the episode. We would like to grant our listeners this with the Riders and Dragon Wars campaign. We have some ideas of how to do this, but we appreciate your opinions, so feel free to give us ideas, comments and questions for this and any part of this update.
Thanks Blockheads.

Thanks Mitch for the update. The only idea I have is (in order to save space) create a single episode with the story times that follow your campaigns smushed together. Just an idea, it probably be cool to listen to all of those in a single episode (and, of course, saves a lot of confusion on the stream of episodes). Thanks!

Marginal issue with that idea though Almarianknight. That there would be a BEAST of a single episode. I would think that it would clock in around 5+ hours per campaign and that's likely being fairly conservative. The DM-Nastics are all fairly good to go, as they were separate recordings from the get go, but jamming them into the feed in the order in which they would have aired doesn't seem like the way to go to us, and others, haha.

As someone who listens to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, a 5 hour episode wouldn't bother me at all. Can't speak for anyone else.

Yep, neither would I, but I can definitely see a lot of people who would not want that, especially those who want to focus in on a specific part in the story (such as the Zombie Sheep). Plus, I do not think that the Story Times contain the entirety of those stories (there might be more than I think, however).

Is there any reason why you couldn't just do a separate podcast feed for the story times and/or DMNastics?
I wouldn't have a problem subscribing to 3 different DMB podcasts if it meant I could listen to all the story times in a row, or get a quick hitting dmnastics to speak some creativity in just a few minutes.
I'd prefer that to one ultra episode because there are times when I want to find something specific.

Simply put, we don't want to make a separate feed, because that costs more money (of which we have better plans for). We may try to release not one mega episode, but rather a few larger episodes, for example, Riders of Shemish Story Time 1-5. Dragon Wars 1-5 Riders of Shemish 6-10 Dragon Wars...etc etc Within each episode we can also put time markers for each chapter in the episode description. This is looking like the best solution to story time (at least to me) as of now. As far as past DMnastics, perhaps instead of having it on the podcast feed, there is a way we can have them accessible on the forums, say in each of their threads. That way, they would be accessible and single, however not clogging up the feed, and also possible bring some forum traffic. What is everyone's thoughts on these ideas?

I like this plan, and I think I will be doing most of the plan, so that's great! Haha. I really really like the DM-Nastics idea, and could even start work on that as soon as people say that they like that idea.

I like the idea of having past DMnastics on the forum as well. This will be especially helpful in that we would not have to write up any new forum posts to discuss these DMnastics. As for story times, you probably would not even have to put time markers on them, since they always occurred at the beginning of the episode at the same time, just the name of the story time could work.
