Was honestly not sure where else to place this so I think here is good? Basically this is a thread to post any pictures you may have done of your adventurer or fav npc's etc ^^ I shall be happy to start First up is my 'Valkyrie' the game she came from the norse gods had accidentally fallen into the D&D realm and set about remaking there own realm there -however the D&D gods were not happy about this and you can guess where that all went. The young warrior maiden could only manifest by taking a 'host' since magic worked differently here but once taken found that they could no longer part, so Fen was created and her adventures went forth! Next up would be my favourite and my first ever created character in the D&D world. Daar-rar the Dragonborn Paladin. She belonged to a church of a now dead god (and a false god from the start) the church did everything they could to twist the minds of those who filled there cathedral, of course this became much more difficult when a prominent member fled and they had to anoint disciples as paladins to hunt down the 'heretic' this didn't go well for them since exposure to the world at large cleared the minds of all that they had taught. The church was eventually brought down and there dark demi-god destroyed and this left there former worshippers powerless as the divine energy faded -Daar-rar had made many friends and allies and ended up falling in with a band of 'pirates' (despite not ever owning a boat or going out to sea this is how the city had dubbed the band who were interrupting the rich merchent classes shipments and spreading it across the city -all very robin hood) she learned the tricks of the trade and became a swashbuckling thief. From there her adventures continued as she sought out knowledge, coin and fun! So how about yours? ^^

Running an Airship campaign so you need airships. Here is my reference for the airships that used bound genies to power the magical propelling rings. And here is the design for the ammunition that the capital ships used. Imagine that in ballista form >

Throw in some CON checks to hold their breathe while in the bag, and then how they get out once they hit the place they intended on going.

I can barely draw stick figures properly ... ... ... Trust me, I've seen 12 year old DMs with better drawings then mine (Friar knows). However, I love this idea. It is an awesome way to visualize your world (and even keep a part of it). As it is I am stuck with these (mouth watering, I know) stick figures .

While it's not based on any form of PC/NPC the Daz stuff that I have created is inspired by RPGs. Here is my Avatar image, the concept behind it was the rogue had just stolen some treasure and set off a fire based trap on the way out.

Nice, you can use Daz to create nice Tokens for Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds as well. Put them in position you want. Render from top down, and then draw the clothes, gear and items onto the overhead view in Photoshop (or whatever) and bam, you have a nice top down fantasy token. (You can do the same thing with Hero's Forge website (which I might have gotten from here, but don't remember)). Love the art in this thread as well. Love it when people get creative with their characters or inspiration.

Love it when people get creative with their characters or inspiration. The main issue with Daz is it's so easy to make stuff with the free stuff they provide but then you see all of the awesome things they've got in the store and within a few minutes you realise you've spent all of your money on a handful of (pretty awesome) clothes, people and scenes. I'd love to be able to create stuff to be used in Daz but I don't really have enough time to play around with Daz, let alone learn how to make things in 3d to be imported into Daz!!

EDIT: Not trying to derail this thread!! Right, that's the problem I have with all these products. Not enough time or money for them. I can't create 3D models myself. Not in my skillset. What I was explaining was using the 3D models Daz uses to create 2D Tokens for R20 or FG. 1. Fire up Daz and set up a scene with a 3D model in it. 2. Position the model's arms, legs, head, etc, in the position you like from a straight 90 degree top down angle. 3. Render scene using Daz from the top down perspective to give you a nice image with shadows and proper anatomically correct figure in your image. 4. Pull that rendered image up in Photoshop, draw what you want onto the image, such as clothes, weapons and the like. Crop, resize, etc. 5. Export from Photoshop with or without transparency (preference) as a small token to use on your fav system. Even easier way, but the same process is to use the HeroesForge.com website. For example: I just captured this screenshot from Heroes Forge with a top down perspective. I can put this into photoshop, color, draw, and make it into a nice token of a bow user. Same steps as above, you just don't need Daz if you don't have a system that can run it. (Rendering can take hours on a decent machine.)

Throw in some CON checks to hold their breathe while in the bag, and then how they get out once they hit the place they intended on going. Getting out is the easy part, they just need to poke a hole on the inside of the Bag of Holding. Everything will spill out on the floor. The volume of the bag might be a bit cramped though... I usually use Pinterest or my wife (who happens to be one of my players) to get our PC art. I'll see if I can get her permission to post some of our ol' PCs.

I've got clearance for our current party at least. She's done some really good art of our previous campaigns but we're not entirely sure where it's been stowed on the internets. Light The Missus' PC is a Tiefling Paladin of Obad Hai. The Tieflings tend to be discriminated against in this setting and as a child she was chased out of a city (losing her mother in the process). Some adventure-y stuff happened and she's basically became Obad Hai's Paladin in a remote forest at the age of 12. Now she's 37 and kicking some major keister with her holy ironwood sword as the party's primary tank. Derwin This PC started out as a sailor who'd escaped what he saw as impressiveness, inadvertently triggering a series of events that wound up bringing the whole party together in the first place. As the campaign's unfolded we've found out he's actually the long-not-so-lost son of a powerful Duke (sort of a naval equivalent of Witness Protection). There's a running gag that his name keeps getting longer as we keep piling on titles and accomplishments on it. So at the moment he's Lord Darren Dashing/Danger Derwin Lambert the Dragon-Eye. Reblay One of my players just likes to be persistently cheerful (sometimes inappropriately so) and shoot things on occasion. So he plays a Forest Gnome Ranger. Reblay had started out as a Bounty Hunter of sorts but he's since become the party's comic relief. Somewhere along the way he picked up a squirrel buddy, Red, who darts about in a custom suit of leather armor (just large enough to have one stud). Ineluki In this setting the elves have a complicated history (largely being wiped out and semi-accidentally nearly ending the world). The same events sealed arcane magic for "mortal" species (basically anything in the PHB) so as a High Elf Wizard Ineluki's always been an odd guy within the setting. Fortunately he specializes in illusions so he can usually trick his way forward. His backstory has gotten progressively more complicated and ethically murky but so far the PC seems to be handling it... ok if not exactly "well". We have a fifth member of the party, an NPC named Cara, who the rest are nominally working to protect. As the story's turned out, Cara is the "Pendragon" (she's got Excalibur and freaky powers and everything) and somehow responsible for preventing the end of the world. The other chars like the world, more or less, so they've become Cara's companions to make sure her mission is successful. She's grown pretty close to Light in particular which has been nice to see. There's no art of Cara yet but I do have a HeroForge model:
