It's dragon time! Simple enough, grab a dragon and make it yours. 7. Name: Xalanthisalisith / "Xala" Reason for notoriety: Xala is an ancient Red, who has lived for over thousand years. She is the most famous of Dragons, the most feared, and most used to scare children to good behavior. "Xala will come cook you and eat you." She is seen rarely and only when venturing out from her horde to collect more, to raid for food, or maybe just bored, and wants to burn a city of village. Xala is most well known for her seduction of the human King Thormund, of an Empire that no longer exists. The tale is she transformed into a Human woman of unsurpassed beauty, with fiery red hair. She convinced this King to gather all the wealth he could, invading kingdoms and nearby lands for wealth, and building a great vault and fortress to store it all, at the behest of his now wife "Xala". In the end Xalanthisalisith, destroyed the King, his kingdom, and still resides in the ruins of this ancient nation and the fortress that was built to protect it. Lair/Locale for Living: Fortress of Fire (Original name lost, probably to dragon fire.) Minions: Xala works alone. She is ancient and powerful and needs no others sharing in her Horde. She has been pouring over magical tomes for a thousand years, and can conjure any help she might need. Special Attack: Standard Ancient Red Fire Breath, and extremely high level magic use on top of that. Etc: Living thousands of years amidst the tomes and treasure hordes that she has accumulated have made her possibly the most powerful magic users that exist. Many have gone to raid her lair, and wizards requesting her tomes and knowledge if gained. (Player hook.)

Name: Lyrroth, aka Mama Lyra, aka the Gnoll mother, aka the Obsidian Craving. Reason for notoriety: in long told and probably exaggerated tales, she was known for her flying prowess and the fierce hunger her Ariel acrobatics created. More recently, she's rumored to be organizing an army of Gnoll Cavalry with peculiar properties, and may be involved with the disappearance of select female nobility. She is most feared for her trickery and prowess with illusion magic. Lair/Locale for Living: outskirts of swampland, just past tower worm territory. Minions: half dragon gnolls, and half dragon horses, along with the typical kobolds that like to hang around. Special Attack: Lyrroth enjoys casting weird, then other minor illusions to encourage her enemies to kill each other in terror, leaving their bodies for her children to eat. Etc:Lyrroth was once a spectacular specimen of an adult black dragoness, who enjoyed pushing the boundaries of her kin to her own advantage. When pushed too far though, her own kind turned on her and destroyed her wings, the source of her greatest accomplishment & pride. Now vulnerable and terrified she resorted to tactics that once would have been repulsive to her, and became copulating with what she considered to be the most controllable & vicious species available, a small isolated tribe of gnolls. As she aged though, she began to fear her impending mortality and began preparing the ritual to transform herself into a Dracolich. She has performed two of the required nine sacrifices to complete it, and is always on the lookout for nobility to kill to reach her aim. Being flightless and aged, she is more adept at magic than the average dragon, and seldom appears as one herself. Usually manifesting as a kindly old herbalist woman. She invites travelers into her shack and asks them about their life stories, in order to find out if they are noble blood of one of the nine species she needs. 2. Thought I'd say hi to the forum by jumping right in. Love the podcast, and an extremely excited I can get on the forum with my tapatalk app, since 99% of my internetting is done on my phone!

8.Name: Glemfast, the Waiting One, He Who Watches from Above Reason for notoriety: Glemfast is the most commonly sighted dragon in all of Dayeimbe - he can be seen soaring from perch to perch, day and night, any time of year. He keeps no hoard, has no lair, and has never been seen to actually feed - it is supposed he is sustained by magic itself. He does, however, on rare occasion, come to land on mountain tops and speak to mortal races. He is enigmatic, wise, and unlikely to share his motivations. He has only revealed that he is watching and waiting for something. Lair/Locale for Living: Skies and mountain peaks across Dayeimbe Minions: There is a cult of Glemfast who suppose that he is waiting for a final battle, where he will strike down all other dragons in the world. There is, however, no evidence any member of the cult of Glemfast has ever actually spoken to Glemfast himself. Special Attack: Unknown, but widely speculated. The Cult of Glemfast's sacred text prophecies "And when the reckoning comes, the lesser wyrms will be smote by Glemfast's mighty horns. He shall dive upon them from above and pierce their scales; he shall break their bones and spill their blood." My immediate thought on seeing his horns is "how can he eat with those things?" The rest kind of spiraled out from there.- The Backwards DM

Let the house cleaning continue! 10. Name: NakezendrenReason for notoriety: She was once two dragons, but she was forced together by the orb in her chest and some of the strongest magic that Dayeimbe has ever seen. Lair/Locale for Living: She calls the upper portion of the underdark home in the world of Dayeimbe. She has easy access to the surface to pillage and terrorize whenever she sees fit, or whenever she is called upon. she can be controlled by whoever has control of the orb in her chest. The orb was originally created by a gnome tinkerer who thought that it would be able to destroy the dragons, but instead it turned them into one giant dragon where their used to be two. Many fear separating the two, as they would be nye impossible to defeat once again. It is theorized that the two personalities within Nakez fight for control and you will never know which you are about to deal with until it is potentially too late. Minions: kobolds given their draconic nature, but this is only when the black dragon aspect is active. when the red aspect is active it takes a more subtle approach and works with the drow. Special Attack: from the orb in Nakez's chest a fiery beam shoots forth, but whenever it burns something the smoke that is produced is a poisonous cloud. Mechanically it could present as a fireball that leaves behind a stinking cloud.

Name: Mordrille Reason for notoriety: She is rumoured to be responsible for a great number of deeds in the region but only two are known to be true, The first was the destruction of the 5000 strong Goblinoid hoard that began to ravage the countryside, no army would have been able to muster in time to stop such a strong force and so in exchange for one of royal blood she decimated the hoard leaving only terrified stragglers for the moral races to clean up -that day she took a princess of royal blood deep into her home and was not seen for many years after until the death of her farther when she returned and took rule of the local kingdom with wisdom and fearsome arcane power. The second is the destruction of the small town east of the forest, it is noted that she flew over gazed upon the settlement and hissed in great anger as trees and roots sprung up and choked the whole village, destroying houses and fields, killing many -for many years it was not known why until the crimes of the mayor became apparent some years later, he was apparently the leader of a death cult intent on destroying and raising Mordrille in the name of some dark god. The mayor himself, the only survivor of the attack was executed a year later for crimes against the local temples. Lair/Locale for Living:
In the large stretch of forest south of Lusina Tirion there was once a white petrified are, long ago battles of magic rendered the patch barren and lifeless until Mordrille took it as her home, Life quickly returned and it is now the most lush and verdant part of the forest, most simply call it the White Green. Minions: The living creatures of the forest (guess where i got that from for bonus points). From the small mice tribes to foxes and even the wolves that roam within her range of influence and the one great grizzly larger than any other bear you may have set eyes upon. All act as her eyes and ears and on occasion her escorts of travellers who seek her out for knowledge or favours -if she deems them worthy of an audience. Special Attack: Greater Overgrowth. The land splinters and cracks as vines and trees spill out of the very earth entangling and crushing her foes and bringing new life where there was none before. It would also be a good idea to avoid her breath attacks, she spews a thick gas that corrodes and melts all that it touches, be it rock or the very ground. Etc:Mordrille is known by a few names...The leaf bringer, The green wild, the last white. It is not common knowledge to many if she is in fact a green or a white dragon due to her lurking within her forest in the shade for much of her duration within the forest. She claims herself that she created the first forests in the land, she also claims that her parents were no mere dragons themselves, however this is for the most part considered blustering as the sightings of her began roughly 200 years before. She is willing to give wisdom and even actual aid to those who seek her out in exchange for a hefty price, but this is not some selfish drive all she does is to keep the balance of nature around her - a stable kingdom means there is plenty of food, safety and no knights looking to slay her whilst she slumbers (though this does occur every few years). She has even been known to bestow magical items upon adventures she deems worthy of her aid but not enough to actually get involved in a situation herself. Most of her prices tend to be to help a local in need of aid -this however is ALWAYS a much bigger task than it seems, and the larger the favour those ask of her the more inreasonable her price may seem at first glance -such as wiping out a Goblinoid hoard for the only princess in 100 years born of the royal blood, she taught the young woman magic and how to rule with wisdom and honor...she also taught her how to juggle, just because it amused her.

I know that this one was covered on the podcast, but I saw this and couldn't resist.
Name: Tothlazghran (in an ancient Draconic dialect, it translates to "abomination")
Reason for Notoriety: Tothlazghran is a dragon that has been hunted for her entire life, not by the humanoid gnats but by other dragons. Because she is something that reviles any dragon that comes across her: a hybrid of chromatic and metallic. Forced to breed by agents of an unknown benefactor, her father was a silver dragon while her mother was a red. Regardless of her parent's willingness, she is hunted.
Lair/Locale for Living: Her exact whereabouts are a closely guarded secret, for the minions and agents of those that would see her killed are everywhere. Some believe her to be dead, for she has not been seen in over five hundred years. However, she was born over three thousand years ago and the last time a dragon fought her she moved like the rigors of time had not touched her.
Minions: Tothlazghran has a secret army of loyal followers. Not kobolds, lizardfolk, humans, or any that would serve other dragons. The magic used in her conception is the only thing keeping the opposing primal energies within her from tearing her body apart, yet that protection does not extend to her children. Her minions are the results of her experiments into using alchemy to produce viable dragon offspring. Though they bear the features of dragons, thus far none of Tothlazghran's children would be called anything but monsters. Most have the wrong build, being too bulky or too scrawny, and lack key aspects to be considered true dragons (wings, breath weapons, forelimbs, back limbs, scales, some lack multiple features).
Special Attack: Tothlazghran lacks the innate ability to cast spells that naturally comes to most dragons, some believe that the magic is being used to keep her body whole. While she possesses the breath attacks of both reds and silvers, she also possesses a skill almost no other dragon has: alchemy. Several of her teeth have been removed and hollowed out before being filled with potions to enhance her capabilities. More than one would-be-dragonkiller has been surprised when she seemingly split into a dozen copies, her breath has been a bolt of lightning, or any myriad of other tricks.
Etc: Loosely based off of two dragons from my home setting: a red-silver hybrid and a rather...eccentric blue (think Varric from Legend of Korra as a blue dragon obsessed with alchemy).
