Ok, so we were talking about a friend of mine relating to Munchkin, so I have to bring in his band to share with others. I game with some of these guys weekly, or every other week, but they are also in a Dungeoncore (basically started "Dungeon Core") band called "The Hack and Slashers". They have a couple of gems (in my opinion) of songs about Wizards, Vorpal swords, etc. It's funny, variety and genius at times but nothing serious. While we are all growing up, having kids, etc they still play shows and what not, so if you are ever going to be in the Fort Worth/Dallas area, hit me up and we will go laugh and enjoy their show. (They let the crowd roll a giant D12 to pick the next song they play, dress up as various things, and so on.) The Hack and Slashers: thehackandslashers.bandcamp.com/If you want to support other nerds, you can buy their album from here, but you can also jam it. (My wife is credited on the song "Wizards" as Ten (short for Tenley), she used to be in a metal singer, so they needed a low growl, so they got my wife.) Facebook Page

I will add this to a growing list of my favorites. Funny you should mention this now, because I've been listening to a LOT of Nerdcore recently (preparing for a video game expo, of course). I have never heard of Dungeoncore (as it sounds like your friends "pioneered" it) and it makes me chuckle. And I actually enjoy the metal genre as a whole. Again, added to my growing list of music, and placed besides Chap-Hop (my personal favorite from these out-of-the-way genres). Thanks for the new music!
