I need to upgrade my ram and graphics card before I get back into the PC master race. I have a quad core 2.5GHZ processor so that should be decent enough to run games

By the way, this is one of my computer's specs. Is it feasible? would be better if took a dxdiag instead of that tbh :q

By the way, this is one of my computer's specs. Is it feasible? You are a little slim on RAM, but it really depends on the video card. Most games don't use more than 2 processors, aren't super heavy on RAM. Although you are on an old OS that doesn't optimize threads near as well like Win 8 or 10. Now all that aside, if you have a decent video card (I have a GTX 870 that are about $100 right now) and a SSD, you could probably run it. I am sure it will be just as good on the Xbox/PS4 or whatever. Hell I love my XBox One, but I want the community side that you get with the PC is all.

I've read a few reviews from the early release guys and the game kinda sounds like a failure. Lots of complaints about it so far. May be holding off on this for a bit!

May be holding off on this for a bit! early release isnt the release build, as there are things that are blocked off for now to reduce spoilers. But yeah,I made a module and it completely vanished after I tried it out as player.

Sword Coast Legends isn't exactly what they advertised it as. This is no Baulder's Gate Revival or Neverwinter Nights 3. It's unfortunately been built for a console and ported to PC. This unfortunately leaves it severely lacking in the things that made NWN1 and 2 such amazing games, where you really could build adventures for your friends that were unique and interesting. In Sword Coast Legends the World Builder is the same as it is in the MMO Neverwinter. Basically you have a severely limited set of tools that will do several things.
- Create areas from a pre-selected set of locations. These areas can be customized by putting down a small selection of built in objects. - Create limited Quests, with limited Triggers and no customization beyond tricks. (Some people are doing interesting things, but it's not easy.) - Create NPC's and Monsters from a stock set of monsters and you encounter on a regular basis in every game of SCL you play. - Create limited Dialog that doesn't allow for good story telling or extended conversations with NPCs. Dialog seems to be one shot and your done. - No scripting, extensive dialog, customize-able terrain, maps, buildings, or layouts. No adding created objects or any custom content that you can't trick the game into making.
With that being said, you can create adventures like they said, but the claim it's "Neverwinter Nights 3" and a way to play your D&D 5E adventures with your friends is only half true. If you play within the confines of the game and it's assets that are provided. Honestly I expected much more at release. The early play tests I figured had the small selection of objects, and surely they would add more for release. They did not do that, still a very limited selection of objects.
Now the game is not a total bust. I have had some fun doing the Random Dungeons. With or without a DM doesn't really seem to make a difference other then more selected monsters (they still have to choose from only 2 sets that were identified when the level was created) and more traps.
I have tried to DM a couple of times. I waited about an hour both times for anyone to join my DM'ed Dungeon Crawl and no one ever did. Player hosted dungeon crawls are easy to find though.
If/When I play the story, I will update with my thoughts on that. I am disappointed though, because the adventure creation is basically a bunch of crap, and was designed for consoles, so it's very limited.

I'm not hearing good things, which is unfortunate.

Sometimes I get the impression that people who design D&D video games don't play the TRPG, or at least if they do, they're beholden to the higher-ups whose vision of a successful video game fits a formula. Pure speculation, granted, but I suspect it goes down a bit like Hollywood. Some brilliant director/writer knows exactly what he wants to do, but the producer comes in and says, "You need to change this, because that's what sells tickets at the box office!"
I'll restate that turn-based combat is an essential feature of D&D, and again, you can look at games like Divinity: Original Sin, X-Com, and Shadowrun to see it done right. I can't shake the feeling some jackass higher up in the hierarchy insisted on pause-and-play because that's what Baldur's Gate did, and didn't stop to think about what made Baldur's Gate successful (hint, it wasn't the way combat played out).
I'm disappointed to hear about the DM toolbox. They could take a lesson from Bethesda, and release an SDK rather than the in-game DM mode, at least for PC. I've heard that they're also going to make mods for Fallout 4 available on console. This, perhaps, could save SCL.

Finally got the only reason I bought the game Ooh! That is a good reason. Makes me wonder of the usefulness of converting amiibos and Skylanders into D&D miniatures.

Worth more than the game itself.

Hah yes. And got a cloth map of the forgotten realms so im semi tempted to just start off playing in the forgotten realms. I guess I could just do the starter pack, but anyone got any tip of modules that can be done with a less than normal party amount ( aka like 1-2people +) ?

I don't know one directly off hand, but FR is one of the most fleshed out worlds besides our own you can find. Pick a little town in Forgotten realms, read about it, and I bet you can come up with a quick local adventure to introduce FR.
