1. Bo'unde al-Mahfek (known more widely as Baneday the Blind) rallying the Southern forces after a victory against Grand Seer Wlindenspire the Terrible. Despite the fact that the war continued for another 12 years, the victory at the Everlasting Keep was the turning point of the Great War. Bo'unde al-Mahfek was one of many heroes involved in the war, but is likely the most well-known. It was Bo'unde that convinced the elders that the battle (and thus the war) would not be won without the aide of the green dragon Norrinde. Despite the fact that Norrinde had been the enemy of the civilizations of the West for generations, Bo'unde was able to not only hold court with her, but convince her to lend her aide against the Grand Seer. After the battle, Bo'unde stood on the highest parapet and let out the mightiest roar anyone had heard before or since. The Bellow of Baneday is one of the songs every bard learns in their second year at the academy.

6. 8. From the DM-Nastics episode Morgan and I did with some fun tie backs to other's posts in the thread: The dwarves of Cradbrell. They built their home into the petrified roots of a giant tree. A cataclysmic event tore away the land surrounding the tree. This event happened within the Divautic Ocean, but no one remembers anymore what caused it. The story that has been lost to the ages is one of a great kraken. The kraken sought to claim a magical item hidden within Belarith’s, a powerful wizard, tower. It was in this battle between Doug the kraken and the wizard Belarith that the cliff side was torn asunder. They left behind only the sturdiest of structures, and those were the roots of the great tree now known as Cradbrell Citadel.

#dougspiracy "That dumb ol' ugly grabber kept taking our men from our boats, and taking our boats from our fleets." Legend of the great kraken began to spread far and wide, as tales of sea faring men were told in every port in Dayeimbe. Eventually the legend grew to be nothing more than a fairytale, but that dumb ol' ugly grabber still lives. It lives deep within the ocean, and rarely surfaces, but when it does the havoc it wreaks is the stuff of legends. The tale has passed between so many mouths that eventually people started referring to the kraken "that dumb ol' ugly grabber" simply as DOUG!

I know this is an old one, but we were listening to it in the car this morning and my 2 year old was trying to pronounce the names along with the DM Neil & Morgan Jenkins. It was hysterical. I'll need to listen to the pod at home to see if I can record it.
