It was one of the coolest things I've ever had happen in D&D. We all asked for copies of the PowerPoint after the session. One of the best sessions I've ever played.

I had a DM once that reminded me of a really bad CSM. Nitpicking every deal and wanted it done by the regs. Also ran a game with a WARNORD and went through the whole Operations Order. LOL

More school is never a bad thing! I graduated in may of 2014, and still cannot find a job out here in Ohio. So I am going BACK to school to get my EMT certificate so I can start applying at local Fire Dpt's. I am really hoping that with my Bachelors Degree, prior military experience, plus this EMT certificate that I can actually get a job with them. I am always skimming through articles picking up bits of random knowledge. I consider it a badge of honor, that I know a little bit about a LOT of things!

I agree. I try and learn as much as I can about as many things as I can. Blessing and curse kind of thing though as I feel like I don't have as much control over what stays in my head as I would like. That's why my screen name is Joatmoniac: Jack of All Trades, Master of None -iac.

Straight A's!
Was a little worried at the start of the term, since it's been 15 years, but I still got it.

Congratulations! That's awesome to hear! It takes a lot of determination and studying to get that. Now I just hope I can follow suit...

yeah. Unless you get professors who are DICKS.....I had two. One was a Biology professor who claimed his class was a M-CAT, C-CAT, LSAT, etc prep class. He also claimed that a majority of his class will only get C's.
I then took a Algebra course where the teacher stood up and said "I give up, I have tried everything I know. Here are the answers to the last test figure the corrections out on your own". I immediately walked out of the class and went straight to the dean of the math department and demanded a refund.
You can only do so much to succeed, and the system CAN put up barriers to prevent that 4-oh. I held a 4-Oh for the longest time and then it dropped to a 3.8, then to a 3.5. *Shrug* I graduated with honors regardless so SCREW EM! lol

I went back to school at 27 and it was one of the best choices I've made (although it may not be the best choice for everyone - I'm not a pusher!). I wasn't mature enough when I was younger. I think you'll find that your experience and understanding of the importance of things will be a huge benefit to you over some of your younger peers, and the rust gets thrown off quickly. You'll know how to ask the right questions. The biggest hurdle, obviously, is time management with so much going on at once, but once you get that down I think you'll be able to start enjoying yourself!

Returned to school, worked 3 part time jobs and took care of my two step-sons through it all. Planning on returning again within the next couple years. I'm an art school drop out (from way back when) with an Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering Technology. I'm finding that my lack of a bachelor's degree has become a salary ceiling. Time to break through! It must feel good to return to school and rock it like that nevvur!
