2. It is a book carried by all devils of the nine hells who make pacts with mortals. It contains multiple pacts of various types, some even with blanks to fill in to accommodate more complex or irregular requests and exchanges.
3. All devils who make pacts regularly would carry one, otherwise it would be crafted within the nine hells, probably within the courthouse basement.
4. The book is made from sinners in the nine hells. When someone breaches the nine hells laws or contracts they are tried and found guilty. They are then flayed and processed into whatever the courts deem fit, the skin being put aside for these contract books.

You see before you a contract that seems to be connected to the sin of Pride. The devil will sabotage your rival in an event of your choosing in return for your shadow.
B.
1. Let Faith be my Blade by Saint Agrivar, Paladin, Order of the Gilded Edge
2. It is a recount of the paladins teachings and training. When attuned to by a Paladin or Cleric it grants them the ability to cast Holy Weapon once per day as long as they spend at least an hour with the book in contact with a weapon. (This weapon is the form the holy weapon takes when summoned)
3. In a hillside alcove, the temple of the Order of the Gilded Edge has long since crumbled and through tremors and rain has slid down the hill somewhat. The underbelly opened up to reveal what remained of the forgotten dead. This book is one of the last remnants of this order.
4. Saint Agrivar was a proficient wielder of all weapons. They documented their knowledge of weaponry into this book. That intermingled with their prayers and use of the spell imbued this item with the ability to cast the spell for others.

The page you turn to has a roughly drawn figure wielding two short swords. A caption reads 'Dual wielding is not about extending your weaponry, it is about extending what your already have. Be one with the blades.'
C.
1. Flora: Harvesting and Use - Agatha Wyrmvine
2. It is a journal of herbalist's findings, discoveries, experiments and assumptions. If the reader studies it for 4 hours every day for 2 week, it gives them advantage on herbalism kit checks. It also gives recipes for simple and complex healing potions, tanglefoot bags, firesticks (matches) and flares.
3. If not in the possession of Agatha herself, it would be on a shelf in her cottage or in her bag.
4. Agatha comes from a long line of druids and has been curating this journal since she was a child.

You see a picture of a four petaled flower coloured a pale blue that sharply fades to dark purple at the tips. The flower is titled 'Stardrop's Lament' and it seems to have warnings about even touching the plant with your bare hands.
D.
1. Hallenzir's Grimoire
2. It is a spellbook containing up to 5th level spells, once belonging to Hallenzir, a Graviturgy Wizard
3. In a pawn shop. The owner claims it just fell out of the sky and nearly hit them on the head.
4. Hallenzir started ff with a simpler spellbook but as more and more magical ink and knowledge filled the pages, it began to morph slightly. Hallenzir saw this and attempted to guide the process, making it into the image of his magic that it is today.

A third of the way through the book, Hallenzir is detailing the beginnings of a new experiment, a way not to fly but instead to lash your personal gravity to a different direction for a moment.
E.
1. Reverb of Stone - Dwarven Dirges
2. It is a book of Dwarven death rite chants. It lets a spellcaster using Gentle Repose do so without any material components. If it is in your possession you can roll one death saving throw with advantage per long rest.
3. In possession of a Dwarven Grave or Death Cleric
4. Scribed by a Dwarven cleric in their waning years, the ink and prayers said over the tome have imbued it with minor power over staving off death.

The first page you see is detailing the proper construction of a burial tomb. There are diagrams and measurements, clarity of gems used, brittleness acceptability ranges of stone chosen etc.
F.
1. Praise to Glippitrub!
2. Reading this book for longer than an hour will put the reader, unless they are Kua-Toa, under the effects of the Confusion spell for 10 rounds. The madness in these pages only makes sense to the minds of those already mad.

The writing spirals from the edges of the pages inwards and inwards, further and further until a slight sting in your head and a vague feeling of dizziness.

2. A spellcaster attuned to this book can cast conjure minor elemental three times per day and conjure elemental once per day.
3. In the City of Brass this is sold by magical merchants who capture elementals.
4. The merchants infuse the elemental's essences into bronze plates and etch runes on the plate faces to bind the magic.

You come to a page detailing precautions. It suggests that the wielder have a water summoning spell or some water on hand to splash the fire elemental with initially, to assert dominance.
