Heyo! I'm pretty new to D&D, just started playing a few months back and after being a PC I became pretty interested in trying my hand at DM'ing. I haven't started yet but I found the DM's Block podcast and it has really helped me with ideas for a world I can create. I'm hoping to start soon after I can get some more resources (Dm screen, making miniatures, etc) and maybe find some more ideas for my world called Die.
I'm not a very talkative person but I'll try and contribute to the forums when I can.

Welcome, quiet one! This might be a bit early to have advice thrown at you, but why wait for supplies before you play?
A solid 3-ring binder is a serviceable DM screen (as is a dice rolling box in a chair next to you on your side of the table). Tokens and a grid are fine in place of minis! Or even just graph paper and a good eraser, as I once did. It is, after all, an imagination game.
Anyway, welcome to the block party! I look forward to sharing ideas and stories with you!
