I recently realized I was stocking a shop with gear and items far outside the financial means of my group and had this idea (see below). I think it might be fun (and messed up) to offer the players another means of payment that will act as a curse to pay for a 10,000 weapon or armor or whatever they just can't afford.
The spell would be used primarily by retired Spellcasters (most commonly warlocks) who now make a living selling merchandise in little shops around the world.

Pact of Financial Obligation
LEVEL: 7th
CASTING TIME: 1 Special
RANGE/AREA: Unlimited
COMPONENTS: S, M - (Tears of a leprechaun, Parchment made from the wood of a reclaimed house)
DURATION: Until Dispelled or Triggered
SCHOOL: Conjuration(?)
ATTACK/SAVE: None
EFFECT
The castor creates a contract specifying a financial amount in whatever currency best suits the castor. When the contract is then signed by one or more parties, the signee(s) are then obligated to pay off said amount. From the moment of singing, 80% of all coin (or specified currency) that the signee(s) takes ownership of disappears from their hands and/or wallet and returns to the castor until the total sum accrued equals that of the previously agreed amount.
If the signee(s) health deteriorates to the point where they are unable to fulfill the obligation, including dismemberment and/or death, their body, or body part, is reanimated and with the sole purpose of repaying the debt still owed.
If the signee makes no payments for 3 months and still has an amount due, a debt collector may be dispatched to revise a payment plan substituting weight of coinage due with the weight of flesh of the signee(s), rounding up. If the debt collector fails to return with the appropriate payment, another will automatically be dispatched. Debt collectors can vary but most commonly are an Avatar of Death.
The spell ends when the debt is paid in full, the contract is destroyed or altered by casting as another ritual, or using the Wish Spell. Remove curse has not affect on the signee(s) or the contract.
The spell will only operate within the same plane as that of the contract.
Creating the contract takes 1 hour and can only be cast as a ritual.
Signing the contract can be done as a bonus action and does not require the signee(s) to read said contract.
