Has anyone done any cross-over work between D&D and Destiny (or Halo)? I'm working on a unique one-shot (ok...two shot..likely to be run over a couple sessions) adapting the Vault of Glass as a dungeon. Obviously, there won't be much in terms of RP but the puzzle aspects should be epic. Any ideas? Has anyone done something similar?

Love the idea, replying a little late! - I just tried my best at making a jumping puzzle in this turn based game. I played the Taken King religiously and that raid ends up being my go to inspiration when i really want to 'gameify' my mechanics. I designed the jumping puzzle much like the multi stage traps in Xanathar's Guide to Everything. The party had to traverse a cylindrical hallway while a stone juggernaut went forward and back along the length of it, while turning along the perimeter. (This was the downfall of the encounter, I couldn't explain it well). I think I would try moving platforms through space on a set pattern. Once my players understood the madness of my imagination (30 minutes later), It worked out great. There was a loose initiative, where the players all did what they were planning for their turn and then when they all were done, the juggernaut moved to the next position. Depending on where the characters were in the hallway they had to make checks accordingly. The danger was if they were in the path of the juggernaut. none of my players had the fly spell, but fly circumvents all of this. - In this session I also tried a classic 'hold this position until the time limit and then the door opens' mechanic that worked out suuuuper well. It can actually be found here: dungeonmasterblock.freeforums.net/thread/2344/dm-nastics-147-blinded-lightFor a party of five level 6's (With the Arcana threshold at 100) the danger was just right and the suspense grew organically. - I also made a Golgoroth variant a few sessions ago, except I didn't put in an invulnerability mechanic which many raid bosses have. I just had fun with a lazer beaming cyclops. I'm really curious to hear how the session went, or if you're still planning it I'll definitely be here to be a sounding board! DM Fennico

Yeah, it has been awhile since I ran this one. It ended up going from a planned 2-session mini into about 6 nights (we play for about 3ish hours though so not extremely long ones) It was BRILLIANT!! I'll give you a proper write up about it but I need to dig out my notes.
