Hi everybody!
I've been listening to the DMB for about a year now, but it took me until today to make a forum account and participate. To be honest, I haven't been much for internet socializing since the MySpace days, so this is a little weird for me!
My name is Brian, 23, physics undergrad on the verge of graduating from the University of Oregon. San Diego native. Lover of craft beer, fine cannabis, live music, hot weather, video games, and of course, tabletop RPGs.
I got into reading the D&D v3.5 books in middle school, but even to this day I haven't had a steady group for more than a month or two (it's a hard life, yo). I've played a little bit of 5e, and I'm also lately infatuated with Shadowrun. I ended up DMing a game by default last year because I had a bunch of friends who wanted to play but never had, while I had a decent grasp on the rules and many pages of worldbuilding I'd done for fun in my journal. The DMB, of course, has been indispensable in helping me translate my ideas into working, playable material.
Anyway, I look forward to sharing thoughts and ideas with all of you!
