Ran my first epilogue night last night, and DM Mitch has not exaggerated their value. By the end of the night, everyone was ready to let go of their characters and excited to leap into the next campaign where they will see how the world they so heavily influenced changed in 200 years. But not only was it a vital measure for bringing the campaign to a satisfying end, but it was possibly the most engaging and emotional session we've had. By the end I was physically weak with emotional and spiritual exhaustion. It was like saying good bye to 5 good friends I will never see again, then reading their memoirs all on the same night. Thanks to Dungeon Master's Block for putting me onto this awesome practice. Will definitely do it again. I'll be back to post a full report of the epilogue night when I get around to writing it, and maybe a full essay endorsing the idea.

Oh, this makes me so happy! Epilogue nights are near and dear to my heart, and I am so glad you and your players had a meaningful experience with your first one!
