A forbidden city would be really cool for a fantasy world. It seems like there's a lot of cool stuff in China and in other countries of the Far East for a fantasy world - have you heard of the monks that mummify themselves when their still alive?

Yes, a forbidden city would be great in a fantasy setting. Maybe I should add that to the far east of my world ...

I think some of the Far Eastern stuff can be easily added to a Near/Middle Eastern world too. Monks and forbidden cities work well with a Near/Middle Eastern setting for some reason.
