I was thinking more along the lines of class (definetly a monk ), feats, trained skills. now 3.5 I reckon the supernatural ability Blindsight would be a must. But 5th edition however. Monk would actually be the perfect class for Daredevil, perhaps there are some aspects that wouldn't translate very well, but many would. Perhaps the monk Way of Shadow would be the best (as far as 5th edition goes) idea, mainly because it would carry over the atmosphere of the show. The problem would be, that it reverses Daredevils powers, in that he can cause other people to be blind (a few of his spells can). Maybe if you could incorporate this Blindsight ability into the Way of Shadow. Also, and you have to do this for fun (and because a costume wouldn't make too much sense), the monk could be going around, trying to pass as a Tiefling in order to expose a dangerous organization. no monk of open path? the Blindsight though, I reckon can just easily be converted. aka would just be a specific thing and not dependant on the monk. And costume wise wouldnt really matter in a dnd world one would think. though like the idea

So the text for blindsight leaves a little to be desired "A creature with blindsight can perceive its surroundings without relying on sight, within a specific radius." I don't disagree though a monk with Blindsight is definitely the way to go for making Daredevil. I wonder at what range he should have said blindsight. I'm trying to remember if he was sniped in the series. Granted he could hear things for a long ways away in the show. The other thing would be what takes his blindsight away. I know that rules as written for the bat is that if they can't hear they no longer have blindsight. Looking at what blindsight counteracts, and when/where/how often it would do so is the best sign as to how powerful the attribute would be. Granted my bat example is using a Challenge 0 (10XP) creature, so giving it out at 1st level and never looking back seems good to me, haha!

Yeah, it potentially a person asking their scent and rolling high enough stealth checks could sneak up on him. Sounds like we all need to just double back and read a ton of Daredevil comics to see how bad guys sneak up on him, haha.

I was just going to pull out my ol' Daredevil comics... then I remember that I haven't read much of him past the 1960 stuff. I just could never make the transition into 1980s comics. I believe there is no way to suprise him unless A: he is stuck in a busy crowd (which cerfuddles his senses) or B: he actually loses his powers (which happens a couple of times). And if you ever doubt what I say about 1980 comics:

I remember how people moaned about Quicksilver's look, and then after the movie came out everyone loved him....
All I am saying is at least watch the movie first before you judge it. There have been some costumes that have fallen short to a characters appearance but the MOVIE was STILL great.
Either way my main squeeze is getting the screen time she deserves! Olivia Munn as Psylocke is all I am going to say. (drools)

So who is your favorite Marvel character and why? As a writer, I'm always analyzing why a particular character resonates with me, and they aren't typically the ones the general populace loves. I am performing Raise Dead on this thread due to a trailer and connection I recently made regarding the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie. That connection? Bucky. Seeing the depiction of Bucky in the trailer flooded me with a rush of memories about a Marvel character who was one of my all time favorites: Nomad! In case you don't remember or don't know, Nomad is Bucky, all grown up. He wanders America, hitchhiking and hiring himself out. Oh, and he does it all with a baby on his back. A baby named Bucky with a domino mask and blue jumper. Its like Lone Wolf and Cub (which I didn't discover until many, many years later) but travelling the USA as a long haired, mirror shade and duster sporting vigilante mercenary. One of my favorite Marvel characters and I am ashamed I forgot about him when this question was originally asked!
