One of the things that my co-creator and I decided on regarding the setting was that the gods would have little to no direct contact with the mortal races. Thus the write-ups for them on our blog continually use words such as "the priests", "the book of", and so on because no living person has actually spoken to the gods. I'll be linking to the deity's posts as the posts are published, of which there's still a few to go. At the current schedule the last deity "native" (as it were) to the Green Coast will be up in the first week of July. One thing that we did was provide a paladin code of conduct for every deity (except Lyc, we couldn't think of anything that would work for paladins of a god loosely inspired by Baphomet and the Joker).
Aelma: Worshiped as the Mother of the Gods, Aelma is one of the two oldest beings in creation with the other being her estranged husband Erb. It was she that taught all forms of magic that protect, guard, and enchant. The sun is the coffin for one of her children, which Aelma swore would burn as brightly as her love for him. Many temples to Aelma collect tithes by doubling as bordellos, with the priestesses serving as the ladies. This practice has allowed them to forge the single largest information brokerage in the Green Coast, to quote Braveheart: "The English do not know what a tongue is for."
Argovas: The god of cities and civilization, the largest city in the Green Coast is named in his honor. He encourages his followers to seek wealth and to spread the influence of cities and civilization. He has a very strong sibling rivalry with Kyrnash, and detests his brother Lyc.
Erb: One of the two eldest being in all creation, Erb is the god of darkness and all that resides within. It was he that taught mortal races the magics that corrupt, defile, or pervert. He pushes his followers to reach their true potential, regardless of what or who stands in their way. My co-creator described him as having a very Magneto vibe to him.
Kyrnash: Goddess of nature and the wilds, Kyrnash teaches her followers to respect the land and never take what is needed. She is the deity we currently have the least amount of material on.
Lyc: Never referred to by name, the deity called (among other titles) the Eternal Laughter, He Who Stalks the Night, the Chaos Prince, the King of Beasts, and the Great Calamity lives upon the small red moon. Some tales say that the moon is red because Moros impaled him to it for a thousand days in punishment for one of his pranks on Kyrnash. He has the largest number of people to which he grants divine magic too, a large number of whom don't actively worship him. Commit a large enough act of chaos when the red moon is full or sacrifice any figure of authority and you'll have power from him.
Maidanaa: Making her home on the larger of the two moons, Maidanaa is the patron of mothers and the goddess most strongly associated with healing.
Moros: Goddess of war, battle, and bloodshed, Moros is the twin sister of Yalma. In addition to all the pleasant things implied by Ares distaff-counterpart, she is also the goddess of free-will, and myths tell of her killing the god of fate and destroying his creation, so that mortals would be free to choose their own destiny.
Orlag: God of knowledge and unintentional expy of Indiana Jones, Orlag drives mortals to research and study. Every archaeological dig (which is the hat of the gnomes in this part of the setting) is dedicated to him, and his favored weapon is the whip.
Tetsuor: God of the sea and of travel, Tetsuor urges his followers to seek new sights, new experiences. Many of his followers are abolitionists, making raids on the slavers that sell kidnapped people to the hobgoblin empire. The most militant of such, the Raptors of Reckoning, do not allow any slaver to live.
Yalma: Goddess of justice and twin sister to Moros, Yalma was blinded by her twin during a dispute over the punishment of Lyc for a "prank". Her focus is on the spirit, rather than the letter of the law unlike her older brother Argovas.
Zarth: The former god of the hearth and dreams, Zarth was the first thing to die when his ambitions drove him to strike at Erb with the intent of seizing his fahter's power. After striking down his rebellious son, Erb placed his corpse within the River of Dreams, the ephemeral river connecting all planes of existence (Green Coast version of the Astral Plane). Onyx is believes to be his crystalline blood, thus why it is used in necromancy. His corpse is seen as a sort-of way station on a soul's journey to their final destination. If you take too long, you will become one of his former servants: fire elementals.
