Second Wednesday of September I'll be uploading a post in my blog giving a brief overview of the languages in my setting. I'm almost tempted to create the language Infernal just for the challenge. Here're a few sentences in english to show the sentence structure:
Pasttheriverhipfatpoboltswiftlyed.
Futureintrudingknightsdragoneat.
NowAesium-ochyouidiotmadeangry.
{(Tense)[(adjective)Object][Sub(adjective)ject][Act(Adverb)ion]}
In essence, a sentence is condensed into a single word, with the subject as the root that everything else adds onto. Adjectives are inserted after the first syllable, with the most important adjective going first. The verb is clicked on as a suffix, with adverbs being inserted before the last syllable and the most important adverb going last. Other actors and objects are clicked to the subject as a prefix, and any adjectives go in front. Past/Present/Future tense is added in at the front of the sentence as a final prefix.
Yes I know it's convoluted, it's the language of devils what did you expect?

I'm currently working on two languages, though I have created others in the past, and both aren't very evolved yet. The first one is Baracish, which sounds like this: "bol alc eenee hon holc, més møl, bol eenee alchon holc." This means: "I was a warrior, but now I am a cripple." The other one is a lot more fluent: "Ÿ ÿ glénām." Which means: "I am a forest." This language is called Wylv.
The latter is declined, and the former uses prepositions quite a lot.
I'll try to write a small book on the two languages and their grammar for later, but right now, I'm working out which setting I'm going to put them in! Some words are below:
Wylv: - Lÿr: castle - Glén: forest
Baracish: - Hon: warrior - Honsdoltacman: ruffian - Sdoltacman: thief

It's official: I am a glutton for linguistic punishment.
For my Dark Tidings setting I have determined that magic works by those that have the genetic potential get into the proper mental state and order reality to obey them. The most common method being with spoken words. However every mortal mage believes that it is the mystic words themselves that are the source.
But how does this make me a glutton? Because I have 4-5 different groups using different languages that I now need to create.
