I know dmcaleb has already made an entry for this, but I thought I'd just put my idea out there. I have to say, my idea is influenced a lot by the book by C.S. Lewis: That Hideous Strength.

8, inhabitants: Yes, there are inhabitants on the moon who have such a high level technology that they've "perfected" themselves and they live forever, all have the same mind together (hive mind) and they all look the same and they're all just brains with an extreme amount of intelligence and they can levitate 5 ft above the ground and move whilst levitating. These creatures have extreme psionic powers which are even better than mind flayers! These people call themselves the Eldańi. The Eldańi are lawful evil. People have forgotten what these creatures looked liked before they became just brains.
