In case you haven't noticed from all these personality type threads I've been involved in (eg. What Hogwarts house are you) I like personality quizzes. But for this time I thought it would be interesting to find out if there is a trend in the kind of people who choose to DM and their Myers–Briggs Type. So here is the quiz: 16 Personality TypesI'm normally INTJ in these quizzes but currently I'm feeling a pull towards INTP. Will be interesting to see if DMs fit a certain mould perhaps more the introverted organiser of stuff behind the scenes type.

I am INTP for sure.
Update: INTP-A Logician. . .I suppose House Slytherin needs a few of those.

DEBATER (ENTP-A) for me. Used to be ENFP for a long time, but I accept a little bit more thinking in life these days, haha. Also, I would say that I would want to change Debater to Discussioner if that is possible, haha. Very interesting. Would be fun if someone tailored one to DM's specifically.

Looks like Mediator (INFP-T) for me! This definitely feels spot-on.

I got ENFJ
but I would say ENFJ with family and friends, but at work I am ESTJ. Very different environments.
as for being a DM, well your style can change. For example when I started DMing in 93 I would wing it. No planning or plot, just made mental notes to use different items and monsters and locations than the previous session and responded to my players. These days however for a campaign I plan 12 episodes around 2 plots, with 2 side treks & link each characters goal & background to the 2 plots.

Interesting that the current introverted to extroverted ration is 5:2 and so is the thinking to feeling ratio. Mostly perceiving types as well and EVERYONE so far is intuition!

I fall somewhere between ENTP (Debator) and ENFP (campaigner), with enough commonality between the two that I tend to flip back and forth in my own assessment.

Mediator, INFP-T. which makes sense. I can be really personable and open with people, but if I'm nervous or having a down day, I stay quiet or talk myself out of being there. this is part of the reason I DM friends and not a pick-up group, I'd probably be too nervous for it/second guessing myself.
