Got a kickstarter game last night called The Daring and The Doomed. Its a simple draw 1, play 1 style of game with a 144 card deck. The card types are monsters, heroes, kingdom. Monsters you can fight or force others to fight in order to gain gold/kill their heroes. Heroes have special powers, kingdom cards give you more gold and abilities. So far its pretty fun.

Oh sweet thread! I'm looking into expanding my board game collection so these suggestions will come in useful. I currently have Munchkin + Takenoko, my boyfriend just bought One Night Ultimate werewolf (which we played last night and I just don't have anything resembling a pokerface.), and my brother owns Risk and Star Wars Imperial Assault. We were all going to get one new game each and try and play every friday night but I have no idea what to choose!!!! I feel like I should get something easier so my mum feels she can join in but I like some depth to my games. I love fantasy and it would be good to get something that has minis in I could use in our D&D games but most games I've seen like that are kinda similar to Imperial Assault so I don't really want that overlap. Also I'm planning on getting Flash Point the fire fighting game for my boyfriend for Christmas (because he's a fireman) which would be a fun reasonably simple coop game but having a go at it would be quite a while off

Oh, one of my favorite games is called Samurai. It is like a more strategic version of the Settlers of Catan, with a feudal japan theme. Really fun. You can find it easily by googling Samurai board game.

You can find it easily by googling Samurai board game. I am intrigued! I love asian themed games, I was also looking at Tokaido. I'm now looking at Imperial settlers too.
