Hello everyone! Cat Charlie here, long time listening to DMB, I heard about it from KJMagle and I've just caught up on all of the episodes a few days ago; so I thought I would come and join in on the forums. Truthfully I joined the forums a while ago but didn't know where to start, but here I am now. DM history: Started out in Secondary school playing an old edition (possibly second edition) where I was ether an Elf Wizard or an Elf Ranger, not sure which one. From there I grabbed a ton (quite possibly literally) of 3.5 books where although I stopped playing (due to a lack of group) I kept the love alive by reading and collecting all the books I could afford. Just over a year ago I joined a D&D podcast where I played 4th Edition, yes I was a 4e hater but grew to love it, in January I left the podcast and have not been playing since with the exception of DMing the 5e starter set for my Wife, my Brother, and my Mum; as my Brother really wants to play some more I an in the process of creating a world so we can have a campaign or two (and because I love world building). So hopefully more D&D 5e sessions in the future. In addition to that I have hacked together a D&D lite for kids for my wife to play at a D&D club that she started running at the school she teaches at, RPG-Gamer-Dad wrote an article about it HERE if you are interested about it (if you want to know any more give me a shout). I hope to be fairly active here (I've got all the DM-Nastics threads open, so get ready for so resurrection of some of those) so I look forward to posting, replying and generally wearing out my keyboard.

Welcome CatCharlie, glad you could join us Blockheads! I am really excited to see what you post in the DMnastics. They are a blast and there are so many other ideas that would be great! I also really want to check out your "D&D-lite" and though I have played with children who were young and I love hearing stories about that (however, it seems as if your link is not working for me...). And I am sure glad that my keyboard is electronic or it would have snapped months ago .

Block Party is more awesome with your joining! The D&D lite for kids sounds amazing, and undoubtedly helps them in a lot of ways. Glad you are on here, and as DM Mitch said, and I said in the other thread, can't wait to see more DM-Nastics from you!

I could try a different link to see if that works? The link seemed to have worked this time around and I am really impressed with this. I just wish I had this when I was around younger children more frequently. Just by some of the examples in the article, I can imagine that you get some crazy character sheets. (Also, I have to mention this after seeing one of the character sheets, but I love Bob the Minotaur's ultimate goal). Great work you have done!

Perhaps a new subsection under "Online Play" would be a great place to put up Play By Post things...

The character sheet takes awhile but so far the posting is very descriptive story telling. We haven't gotten to far yet but it seems to be perefect for the busy player/dm.

The pace is slow, but I think that's the nature of a PBP game. I am also connected to them via Twitter. The one thing I think they really need to blast off is a mobile app. I'd be all over it if I wasn't tied to a browser. As it is, one or two games would be my limit. Oh yeah, forgot to mention: Welcome to the forums CatCharlie!!
