Did I start Adventure Time over to binge watch them all on Hulu because of this episode? Of course I did! Such a great property to get ideas from. Sure it's someone making a crazy story from their D&D ideas, but that can easily be reverse engineered to create some great stuff for any game. Then again it makes one heck of a one off that is very off, haha. I can only imagine that more episodes could be made from Adventure Time, or even podcasts from single episodes of Adventure Time. So many great ideas. Now back to binge watching more Adventure Time!

Just finished listening. Fun episode. I'm a huge Adventure Time fan and Penn Ward was working with Wizards of the Coast back in April - so it will be interesting to see what comes out of that. As I mentioned in one of my guest appearances, I ran an Adventure Time campaign in 4e for about 4-5 months. Mitch is right, the goofy nature of the world is tough to run for a long campaign. I basically wrote 2-3 session episodes such as: COLD AS ICE: An ice storm rising from a mountain south of the Breakfast Kingdom is growing to fill the entire sky over Ooo, but Finn and Jake can't be found to save the day. KNIFE STORM: stuck inside due to a knife storm, the heroes have a short adventure when they find a dungeon beneath their their new hideout. HOUSE WARMING: Ninjas steal a house warming present given to the heroes by LSP THE TOWER: the heroes investigate a tower full of animated furniture and appliances SPAGHETTI WESTERN: 7 Samurai/Magnificent Seven inspired plot where heroes need to find out why the spaghetti supply of Ooo has been cut off Here is a link to everything you need to run an Adventure Time game with 4e rules. It wouldn't be too much work to adapt the races, classes, traps and monsters to PF/3.5 or 5e... or it could be an excuse to run a one-shot in 4e. tribality.com/2014/09/01/adventure-time-4e-homebrew-rules-etc/Check out some screenshots from my AT game in Roll20: tribality.com/2014/08/16/adventure-time-4e-homebrew-screenshots/p.s. don't forget to check out Munchkin Adventure Time. The 2 mesh together better than peas and carrots or peanut butter and chocolate.

Great screenshots on your article, and I have now downloaded all of the content you linked and made a couple characters through the generator, haha. I really want to do a one off with this now, thanks Shwan you jerk! Haha.

Again a great episode from the DMB. I have to admit I have never seen a full episode of Adventure Time. The minute clip I did see was... interesting (it had something to do with a giant man eating frog who was actually a prince?). Anywho, my thoughts on A.T. have been officially changed (from "what in the world did I just see" to "hey that sounds pretty cool").
-Princess Golem? I love this idea! It wasn't really a major point, but I think it would be tons of fun (though difficult to probably reskin for a serious campaign). -Dark Link. One of my favorite antagonists (and one I'll never forget thanks to that impossibly annoying water dungeon) and a great use in any campaign. Especially if the dark version goes around doing evil and the player is blamed for it. -I appreciated what was said about different areas being associated with different elements. This has been how Älmara has always been set up. I made the world when I was ten years old, so I have grittied it up a bit. I was thinking of dropping the different areas pertaining certain elements, but you've convinced me otherwise. Several Different countries include: Glaciara-ice. Ignimar-Fire. Destinn-wasteland. Ellorium-Forest. Feltacia-darkness.
A really great episode to listen to and made me more than a little interested in Adventure Time.

So many princesses! It's an interesting concept though that there would be that many. If you think about the feudal times how many would there would be it makes sense. It's just harder to digest with it being presented in such a ridiculous manner. Great show though and I'm almost done with season 1 of my binge so far, haha.

I also printed out little tokens and put them on nickels for in person tabletop. My kids liked playing AT the best when they started D&D. What PCs did you make with the generator? My favorite PC was Dr. Java Joe, a doctor (or cleric) from the breakfast kingdom that looks like a coffee cup.

Adventuring? And that is an awesome character (now is there a tea version of that?).

I had heard of Adventure Time awhile back, but it didn't really sound like my cup o' tea. Decided to check it out earlier tonight, glad I did! I was puzzled by the 8-13-21 enchiridion thing, but that was a pretty clever reference.

I love this episode. I love silly. I like being the comic relief guy in games. This would have a whole group as comic relief. The one thing I like the best about this is the items/weapons. The abook of Bad Advice... That is to sweet. If i would make a weapon (because my groups is a play star wars edge of empire) i would create a light sword for them. However like the Venture Bros that is what it is. A Light Sword.

I made a Bear Warrior named Bearnox because that is totally my made up Beast Wars persona. Then I made Gertrude Rainicorn the wizard who is well versed in history and technology, and is an inverted color version of the rainbow because that looks trippy as could be! Already done with binging season 1, and working my way through season 2, haha.

I want to know who, in the creation of adventure time, thought up Finn's hat. It is the strangest piece of headgear I've ever seen.

Thanks! Those are some awesome stats for a hat (really any hat). I'm not sure what is more incredible. The fact that a baby killed a bear or the fact that the bear's skin looks like that .

I want to know who, in the creation of adventure time, thought up Finn's hat. It is the strangest piece of headgear I've ever seen. So there you have it plain and simple. A baby killed a bear. Well, I know what my next PC background is going to be: Killed a bear as a baby. He'll be a ranger and wear a coon-skin cap. Anyone? *crickets* My kids loved Adventure Time a few years back. They watched all of it, but not in order. My partner was not convinced it was age appropriate, but I watch a few episodes and assured her it was ok. I think I will have to institute a long-term marathon with them now. We've been playing a lot of D&D lately, they may get more of the jokes. Oh, and if anyone has not seen this below, it's AMAZING! Gritty Reboots: Adventure Time
