Murderous Mimics abound! In the Top 10s, on the forums, and in DM Nastics last week. Obviously we are all looking for more mimics in our games. Players trust nothing! Indeed, you can never run out of good ideas from mimics (or doppelgängers)... like what if the players met a doppelgänger with pet mimics!

He'd be like one of those illicit fences, opening an ominous trench coat to show off his "wares". That silver spoon? Mimic. That glowing dagger? That's a mimic. The purse laden with coins? Definitely a mimic. The half-eaten sandwich? That's probably lunch but do you really want to take that chance?

Instead of a valley that is a mimic...a whole planet that is a mimic...he is waiting for the population to reach top gobbling capacity and then he will reveal himself and just devour the entire planet...in one bite...no questions asked...

My name is Andrew, I live in Lodi California or more precisely stuck in Lodi. What is it towns named Lodi? We've got a tiny backwater Lodi here in Wisconsin, and everyone I've ever known from there was ecstatic to escape its clutches. Hmmm...homebrew monster idea: Living Village! A village where all the buildings are mimics. People live there, and have a semi-symbiotic relationship with the town. They feed travelers to their houses in exchange for a safe place to live in a dangerous landscape. The village is, of course, named Lodi. Oh, and welcome to the forums PS: I'm also an Andrew! All the Andrews/Andys are coming out of the woodwork! Well Friar, there is a song by Creedance Clearwater Revival that talks about being stuck in Lodi again.
