I made a magical vendor who was mostly adept at apothecary and magical liquids. I decided that the variety of different vials and affects were worthy of a special item and as such i made a minor enchanted item that became a favorite among my crew. Each of them commissioned one from the vendor, and the price for how powerful it was made it worth it to regulate their hoard of wealth without doing too much to prevent them from feeling a notable impact on their personal wealth. The item description is as follows. Feel free to use or modify it as you see fit!
Potion Utility Belt - 500GP (300GP if it's a recurring vendor with history of sales and purchases with the party, for effect and flavor. I would estimate the value at that without making it too easily accessible.)
A small leather belt with 8 holster-like loops. An adventurer who is wear it it can add a potion or poison to each belt loop. When a potion or poison is in the loop, it cannot be smashed unless by magical means and only if specifically targeted, it cannot be taken from the belt while the wearer is conscious unless the wearer allows it, and it can be taken and applied (drank, coated on a weapon, thrown at something, given to someone, etc.) as a bonus action. If the belt were to be damaged by a magical attack specifically targeting it, the belt will cease to function magically until repaired with a mend spell or similar magic, specifically expending any components (and the values thereof in gold) upon casting.
Hope you all like it and use it in your campaigns! Happy gaming!

Oooooh I do like this! It has potential to change the whole feel of the campaign. If you were to also make potions cheaper and more short-lived in their effects, you could create a very potion-heavy game where you pit the party against tougher challenges than normal, expecting them to strategically prepare with proper consumables, a la The Witcher.
It encourages scouting and investigation before a hunt; if you can correctly identify the threat and bring resistance potions against its main threat, and poisons that afflict its weaknesses, a tough fight becomes a cleanly executed plan.
