Hey everybody! I'm a brand new DM, and I've been a listener to the DM's Block for two years longer than I've actually played D&D. I actually have no earthly idea how I found the DM's Block, but I first started because I needed a new podcast to binge on while driving long commutes. Fast forward two years and I don't have the long commutes anymore, but I just never stopped listening to the DM's Block.
Welllll, as you might guess, the story doesn't stop there, because two of my oldest friends sat in on a D&D game at a local shop a few months ago...and promptly started looking for a DM.
And now we're two sessions in, and two levels up, and they almost got killed by the newbie dungeon I made for them (trying to re-kill the undead with necrotic damage will do that), and I totally definitely didn't make up an NPC fighter to tank for them because they both chose to be squishy wizards (they have since nicknamed him D&D Luffy because the dice love him).
D&D is awesome, and I'm eternally grateful to the podcast for giving me the confidence to DM despite never having played and only knowing half of the rules. Hoping to participate in some DMnastics on here soon!
PS: Why don't you call it GMnastics??? Inquiring minds want to know.
