And, my experiment with source lighting- a Pathfinder Balor repaint! I loved painting this guy! I found repaints are a great way to practice some of the final touches on painting. It doesn't take so long to get there because you already have a factory base coat on the model. So I recommend to anyone who is painting and starts to think your work is at least a little better than the pre-painted figs you have, go on, grab that drab monster and make it more awesome! Final pic is a roof-top battle map my husband an I put together for our game this next week. Battle on the rooftops in Waterdeep's Dock Ward! I made little stands out of milliput so the figures can move and stay on the roof peaks. All buildings are papercraft Dave Graffam models.

I go in and out of interest in painting now that I have been doing it about a year, but I try to not slump for too long. I do still have a bucket of Nolzur's and Magic minis crying out to be painted though :/ For painting do you have any favorite paints, tools, or techniques that you can share? Right now I just use citadel out of the pots with a wet brush, a water cup, and a paper towel. Yes! All the buildings, ramps, and crates in the docks battle map are papercraft Dave Graffam models.

The backs of the attachments in the previous post. Not sure if you can see it this small, but if you look at the back of pink-haired half-orc she has a unicorn detail on the back of her tabbard. I did NOT paint that- way too tiny. Instead I found that I can print out tiny images of embellishments my players want, print them out, and then glue them to the mini. You have to be careful and use very little of a relatively dry glue or paint to stick the paper on (I use citadel 'ardcoat or sometimes super glue to stick mine on) so that the printed ink doesn't run too bad, but it works pretty well! They look great! Could you post some close ups as well?
