So I just recently had Session Zero for a new D&D 5e campaign in my main setting. After getting permission from all of my players during the meet up, I decided that I would record our sessions to start a new "series" on the blog where I put up a filtered version (if I didn't filter it then it would not be a family friendly blog anymore) of the campaign.
The thing is, I can't decide on a few aspects of how to go about it so I'm getting some feedback.
1.) Format: Should I write it in a scrip-like format or in a story format? 2.) Backlog: I know that I want to have several sessions recorded before I start posting, but I'm not sure how many I should have. 5, 7, more? 3.) Mechanics: Should I detail things like XP awards?
Thanks for all the feedback.

for 2) i think you should get a feel for how quickly you can, and then how quickly you want to make updates. From there you can figure out what would make the most sense for a buffer. I would think 5 to 7 would be an ample amount of backlog.
for 3) you have to look back to 1) if you choose script-like then I think it could work, but if you don't then I think it would be best to leave them out.

Thanks for the feedback!
I have ~8 hours of play recorded, PCs have just hit level 2, and depending on how the players feel when I talk to them next session I will hopefully be writing the sessions in a book format with each session roughly being a chapter.
I'm currently thinking that once I have the posts going up I'll post them either every other week or once a month.
