In the Braenlo region of my world, there's a court scribe/mage in one of the dwarven kingdoms named Geoffrei Marcheant. Though a mage he spends his free time out in the wilderness hiking, fishing, and hunting. Basically a modern day outdoorsman. A quote the character has used goes like this: "This," while gesturing to his court garb, "is what I do. That," he says while pointing to a lovingly cared for hunting bow, "is who I am."
This character is a tribute to my dad who passed away from cancer summer of 2012. Does anyone else have npcs in your games that serve as tributes to those lost in real life?

This is awesome, and I have no idea why I haven't done this. So thank you, and I will definitely be doing this in my game!

This is pretty awesome. My dad was much the same way until he passed away too. I might immortalize him some way in my world. Would be pretty cool to introduce him to my players. Thanks for this idea
