I expect that you should talk about something like this... Seriously, I love snakes and this thing freaks ME out... YUAN-TI!!! Those were my main antagonists for my campaign that ran over 5 years. That is pretty cool! I can definitely see them making awesome villians. This is an Anathema Yuan-Ti and it has to be one of the coolest/creepiest monsters ever. Beats Medusa at least...

Good episode - I really liked the Beholder section. I've enjoyed using spiders as mounts in a bunch of my campaigns through the years.

Watcha mean you guys hate snakes? But this was a great episode! Loved the exploding goblins the most, would be especially good for a world just coming across things such as gunpowder. On the brink of a technological revolution etc. even the goblins get an upgrade! Also great info on spiders and beholders, will be useful for my underdark campaign and world building. I love the tomb spider and web mummies, something with a little more variety to hide in a desert tomb

Was just re-listening to this episode and the goblin grenades reminded me of (sorry animal lovers) "anti-tank dogs" deployed primarily during the Russians in WWII. They would train dogs to retrieve treats from underneath tanks and vehicles, then in battle would strap a mine to them that would detonate and knock out the tank from its weak point below. Poor puppers.... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-tank_dog
