KELPIE
This beautiful race of people appear superficially to be human, though their inherent beauty makes them easy to distinguish from all but the most beautiful humans. Kelpie originated in the Fey Crater, but have since appeared in every inhabited area of Corelad. Their charismatic nature makes them welcome in almost every society in Corelad.
STUNNING BEAUTY
The kelpie are as close to objective beauty as any being is capable of being. Kelpie are prized as mates among other races, though kelpie tend to breed inside their race, sometimes even expressing xenophobic tendencies. Kelpie that mate with outside races are looked down upon in kelpie culture, but near-idolized by the other races.
MASTERY OF SEDUCTION
Kelpie are natural masters of seduction and the emotional manipulation that goes along with it. A determined kelpie very rarely won't get its way, especially if their victim believes that they share a romantic attachment. Kelpie can be cruel with their seductive wiles, but when genuinely in love they are compassionate, generous, and sensuous to a degree most other races can't compete with.
FEY ORIGIN
The kelpie first appeared on Corelad soon after the Fey Crater appeared. Historians believe that they were once humans that were enchanted by the power of the fey meteorite. Whether this is true or not, kelpie share many traits with the fey, such as their resistance to charms and their inability to be magically put to sleep.
Like the fey, kelpie are able to breed with practically any intelligent race. However, children of kelpie do not inherit any of a kelpie's traits, instead appearing by any standard to be a pureblood member of its race.
