Thanks for the update. Durnosse will probably continue to remain one of my favorite homebrews, since it was the a creature I used in my first One Shot. Thanks!

I'm curious where you got the name - it looks intentionally drawn from somewhere.

Figured I'd give it a little boost. I was messing around trying to figure out how to make stuff look like the MM and PHB. Hopefully this meets with your approval. Or download the PDF, if you'd prefer.

Oh, and I didn't bother putting my name on it, because it's just for you. But, if you want to distribute it more widely (via reddit or whatever), let me know. I'll put my name on it so people will know that I did the layout.
Thanks!

I'll put my name on it so people will know that I did the layout. Thanks! O totally put both our names on it. Creature Design by DM_Mainprize and page layout and formating by you or however you want to write it, then I will post it everywhere. robosnake Most of the names in my homebrew settings are the result of an amalgamation of icelandic, old english, Sindarin(tolkien elvish) and quenya(tolkien elvish of the high elves in Valinor). dûr is a Sindarin adjective which means dark, gloomy or hellish. nossë is also Sindarin but there is a Quenya version of the word that is just noss. It means Clan, Family or House. It is also understood as kindred or people. So combining them gives us durnosse which is basically dark family or hellish people. It is the term really of the entire group of people that have passed into the darkness and gloom of unlife. There are also Durind, these appear 24-48 hours after a Durnosse has been destroyed. Ind is Sindarin for heart or inner meaning. These are basically like will-o-wisps in appearance but they are black solid black like a starless night. Perhaps I can convince whipstache to make a sister page for that creature as well. Let me know if you want more information. The durnosse and durind have a king but i have not written and decided enough about it to share yet.

Here is a new link to my durnosse google doc, I will post this here for both whipstache and anyone interested in the creature. I took some feedback from other dms out there and some changes. So here it is. Durnosse
